The problem is, similar to this what happened in this case, MSM interjects opinion, bias and slant into " straight" news reporting, coverage and articles. The video you just watched was objective, all CNN would have to do is summarize and condense this video, but they won't because it's embarrassing and harmful to their already laughable reputation.

      Yeah, I was taught by my dad growing up, an apology that starts with "I'm sorry if" is no apology. Because a true apology is one that fully acknowledges the other person's POV. "I'm sorry THAT I hurt you. I was not intending to do so." far outweighs "I'm sorry IF I hurt you."

      While dishonesty can be grounds for disbarment, disbarment is the most severe sanction a judge can impose and thus it is not a punishment a judge will impose for just anything since it will mean the lawyer will most likely never be able to practice law in the entire state. Therefore sanctions are done to match the severity of what was done.

    This is a very measured, reserved, well mannered Judge.
    This is the kind of Judge that needs to be appointed to larger cases. I'm NOT going to speak to politics, one way or another. Howevetr, had this kind of judge been on the bench on ANY ONE of the many political cases over the last few years, I believe as a whole the general public would have felt more at ease with whatever the turned out to be.
    Honestly, I believe we just want to see a Grown-up in charge is all, & as a Grown-up citizenry, we really do, know it when we see it. Well done, your Honor

      Is that the rule that suborning perjury would fall under? It reads exactly like that. I’ve had many defense attorneys in criminal cases suborn perjury and only when I could prove it before going to trial, it forced their client to plead or make a deal. It seems like lawyers break these laws all the time. I’m just a police officer but I have several degrees and took LSAT’s.

    This looks bad. I assume that CNN tried their best to get to a settlement number the plaintiff would accept, but Young must have insisted on having his day in court. The damage this trial is doing to CNN's reputation will be greater than whatever the monetary judgement ends up being imo.

    This is the kind of ethics you get when DC and NY lawyers are so comfortable lying because they've gotten away with it so many times with unethical judges in those districts that it becomes the norm. But, it isn't normal in other areas where the citizens have ethical judges.
    NY, especially the Southern District and DC have broken the law system in the public's eyes. Those prosecutors and judges in those districts need a serious investigation done on them.
    I would put my life in this judge's hands but, I wouldn't trust DC or NY as far as I could throw them.

    I'm glad Mr. Young was able to have his lawsuit in Florida. It would have gone very differently it it was held in a New York or California court. I'm looking forward to more justice being served over the next four years. It's about time.
