It is amazing how you painted the background without even using masking fluid. So many people make things so complicated. Watching you paint is so relaxing, uplifting and wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you so much :) what's your name? I do use art masking fluid sometimes mainly to show my viewers options cuz I know it can be hard sometimes to go around an object and not get the paint in haha But I do like the simplicity and not making things too complicated :) thank you so much!!
My name is Nina. Simple yet beautifully detailed. Thank you for inspiring us, for showing us your amazing watercolour and gouache skills and your breathtaking art! xxx
Hi Maria. I love your style, fluid but with detail! Your info below is so helpful to me as a novice painter. I am headed over to your page to see more! Thank you. Be safe!
Ive never been into florals at all, but this painting might have just changed my mind! Something about the colors you used, and the soft texture of the pedals and blurred background... just beautiful.
Encore !!!!je vais pouvoir me remettre à l aquarelle après 5 ans je vais faire vos Œuvres vos gestes sont très précis c est magnifique j adore et merci💋💋💋💋
You're like a beautiful addiction to me, Maria. I need to open TH-cam everyday to see you paint. You're such an inspiration. Thank you for all your work. I'm totally a beginner but I hope to make a progress soon after learning from you 😊🌺🌸🌼
I hope some day to as good as a water color painter as you are Maria. I really wish you would give beginner lessons on Patron. Thank you so much for sharing here on U-Tube.
Hi Laurie ☺️🌸🍁Thank you so much!! and I know I don't have enough beginner material on patreon but I am working on it 😍especially now that every new real time video has a voiceover 😉
Wow it's beautiful Maria !!! Love very much the slightest details about flowers 🌺 and butterfly 🦋 and very much in love with how you did the background soo dreamy !!! Thank you for beautiful work !!! 💓❣👩🏻🎨👍🏻😘
so early😊 sooo pretty😍😍 love it I just love the nature. The butterfly are beautiful. thank you for showing and sharing your beautiful beautiful work😊🌹🌹
Hi 🤗🌺🌹thank you so much! I saw these types of flowers somewhere and I found them again on Internet.. I remembered their colors.. so what I do is i study the color by looking at a picture and I create my palette to achieve that vibrancy of colors. To make the yellow pop I used reds and to add contrast I went for darker color etc. It's really happening when I look at something and even if it seems like it's just a yellow.. there's a color under that yellow and I will add that on my palette, even if it's a burnt sienna or violet.. I hope this makes sense 😀
Hi 🤗🌸💕thank you so much! I will be selling my prints online soon :) just finishing up my website! Was hoping it would be done by this weekend but waiting on trasfering my domain as I used to have a website. Creating a new one since I have my TH-cam channel now 🌹🤗😋so please stay tuned 💕😍
I have no words for this painting. cause your colour selection and shading are so beautiful and warm its really so much flawless please make small beginners tutorials for us its so awesome
Hi Hitakshi :) Slowly I'm starting to add more beginners type videos into my gallery ;) I do have some already like sky paintings, but just not the flowers yet.. Thanks Hitakshi!
Maria but I really today I just become big fan of yours I really love your art and this is my most favourite painting of all even I show your painting to my mom she also like it very much
Thank you!!! Then you are going to love my other flower paintings that I painted recently :) are you on instagram? I post pictures of my finished work there before they end up on youtube. Thank you for sharing this with your mom :)))
I really really loved it!! So eye pleasing and you are a great artist and I admire you alot:-) :-* I wish you the great success and keep going with sharing your amazing video tutorials:-)
You are so amazingly talented! I love everything you post. I'm a makeup artist, and beginner watercolorist. You're helping me to learn much quicker than I could on my own. I love your style. It's absolutely gorgeous. Thank you. Do you ever use a dagger/sword brush? Also, what kind of brush is your 1/2 inch angle? Sending love and positivity to you. Jess xox
Hi Jessica :) thank you so much!! That's really sweet of you! Really glad you are able to learn from my videos. I have used a dagger brush before, I like those as well but I stuck mostly to my angular, it's a sable angular wash brush 1/2, its by far my most common brush :) btw I recently discovered sablette, long, round and thin brush.. I love it... it's perfect for hair, whiskers or stamens in flowers like lily stargazers :)
absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing your talent and love of watercolor with others. I am just learning and appreciate your sharing of knowledge. What type of brushes do you use (brand name). I am finding it difficult to find good brushes.
Hi Chris :) thank you so much!! I have been going thru a lot of brushes... I can't tell you how many I tried haha right now I started using Silver Brush Limited Brushes and so far so good! Like them a lot especially "Black Velvet", my favorite one for sure (size 8), then "golden natural" also by Silver Brush. Thanks
Thank you for responding! Can you help me with something? My problem is not only that I'm a perfectionist, but that my first layer always looks so good to me, but when I go in to do a second layer, like with petals, I feel like I ruin them. The first wash looks good, but I can see it needs more, then I go in and mess up everything have done! Hahaha help!!! Thank you so much, again. Jess xox
Hi Jessica, no worries :) we will try to get to the problem... so for the first layer do you wait until it completely dries? or add another layer when its still a bit wet? then once you add your second layer... perhaps you use too much paint? at first when you are not sure, I would use very light layers with not much paint and water, just so you still leave yourself that room to add more... smaller brushes for small details, and bigger for general wash if for example you go over the entire petal. With second layer... you don't have to wait until the first one has dried, there are different techniques... but I usually paint one then move over to the next... let them dry, then later go back to the first one and start adding another layer. For the second layers I carefully go over the edges and add lines etc... usually with a smaller round brush like 0-2. A little more water and paint then first layer. Then not to make these lines stand out too much I'd go over it with brush and just water, to soften them up... later the end layers are when I use less water but more paint, details. This way I get the contrast and vibrancy. I hope this makes sense :) xx
Hi mariya.......as always beautiful work....I like the way you make the petals realistic....simple but with perfection...water and angular brush really add something in your work👌👌 By the way tomorrow is our 'ONAM' (Indian festival specifically for Kerala)......This video gives a good image of onam
Merci Josiane x
