Yes, there are some gods and signs that we carry from the Indus civilization but still, we don't know what happened to them. If you look closely, you will find out that Vedas which are fundamental stones of our Hinduism, were written after the Indus civilization vanished. Yes, we carry their signs today, but we can't say they followed Hinduism. Look at the funeral process. There was 3 types of funeral.
The point is, it's true that we carry their great heritage today but we can't say those people were Hindu. Hinduism is the term given by external attackers. Sanatana Dharm was the religion. Then still, we don't know what happened to them.
