    This is the closest video I found that resembles my Singer machine. I found and bought a super neglected EJ744405 Singer Machine. It has never been cleaned, lubricated with new oil, on top of that they painted over the orginal color, and then let it get dirty with old glue, paint, and grime over it's 70 year old life span.
    Even if your machine is not the exact same one as mine, I do hope it helps me guide me to the right direction. Thank you.

      Sounds like a interesting project. Mine is a 14722602. The 29ks are for the most parts pretty simliar. If you want to replace old parts there could be sometimes measurements issue with some parts. Newer versions like singer 29k71 doesnt match with older machines. But overall they have identical parts.
      Would like to see pictures of your machine. Sounds rediclious exciting.
      I didnt cover every part of disassembling and putting together. My bad. If you take of wheels or cogs ( I dont know the englisch words for machine parts), theyre fixed with pins. This pins are conical. The pins will fit just in one direction. you mabye have to spin the "wheels and cogs" and punch them from the other side in order to get the pin all the way through.
      Wish you much success!

      @@ThatTacoLady Great machine! It seems like your Singer is younger than mine. The presser foot of younger machines have a real spring. Older ones have a spring bar to adjust the pressing force of the walking foot. Cool machine.

      @@Baerenson Oh really? Sewing machines do change a lot through the years, but the design and most of its parts remain similar. It's pretty interesting. 🤔

    My 29 may have been dropped on it's wheel before I got it. The shaft is slightly bent where the wheel attaches. Is there a way to straighten it, or should I leave it alone? I don't have the machine restored and turning freely yet

    Will this machine use a 332 LG needle?

    • @Baerenson
      @Baerenson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a needle that fits in many cobblers. Might work aswell with the 29k.

    Where is the stitch length adjustment located?

    • @Baerenson
      @Baerenson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats the screw in the back above the walking food. Loose that screw and slide up or down for adjust the stitch lenght. Don't forget to thighten it again.

    What are the differences between a 29-6 and a 29-4? I just purchased a 29-4 that is in very poor condition and needs a full restauration. I'd like to do it myself as I have do it in the past with my 99k and it have me a lot of pride and joy to know I did that myself, but I also want to be careful not to damage anything. Thank you for the tutorial btw

      There should be no major difference between those two. The mechanics should be identical. Have fun!

    I really like you hand truck. Could you please share how you made it or where may I purchase one like that? Thank you.

    • @Baerenson
      @Baerenson  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      my build is modeled after the idea of a hand lift or hand truck lift. Its often quite expensive to buy one. Sometimes you can get used ones at a acceptable prize. But they can be very heavy too because of steel. I can make a video, where I share dimensions and needed materials.
      Its a pretty simple set up. Imagine a ladder that has two big wheels and a pulley.

    Hola la mía dice 29 k 1 en vez de 29 k 4 pero es muy parecida, me falta el fleje o barra larga de costado que fué lo primero que saco. ¿ alguien sabe donde puedo conseguirla o con qué la remplazo?.

      You could try to find it on ebay or you try to make it your self with spring steel.
