I just love seeing and hearing your cats! They are so sweet. Your sampler with the blue and purple silk floss is gorgeous! I can’t wait to watch you continue on it. Enjoy your new sewing machine and good luck with the crochet! Thank you for sharing.
Good to see your updates and hear your plans. And, so happy for you with all the new things coming your way. I find it always fun to start something new. You will do fine with your sewing machine, not hard to learn the basics, and definitely sign up for any classes you can!! See you next time to hear more!!!
I love how that “Paris” variegated floss is coming out on that sampler, it is so pretty! That birds in winter pattern might be a need!! Excited about all your new craft adventures. I think it’s fun to learn new stuff and the sewing will tie in for cross stitch finishes!
Hi Beth Love all of your WIPS - the Colors are so pretty. If I want to start another project I will. I am not to concern about how many I have. It’s the enjoyment of sitting down and putting in a few stitches on a project that you love. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵❤️
Enjoy your sewing adventure! I remember when my mom took me to a Singer shop to take lessons. (Maybe 60 yrs ago…whew). It was well worth the time and whatever she paid for the classes. I wish for you the very best experience!
Love your videos! Thank you for taking the time to film. And there aren’t too many wips unless you are uncomfortable with the number. We all have a different number we are comfortable with. I’ve seen a lot of wip parades over 60. My number is about 4.
Your stitch count idea is great! Don’t beat yourself up over the number of WIPs or new starts you have. This is a hobby! Enjoy it and if new starts make you happy, do them. Your plans for 2025 sound wonderful, it’s always fun to learn new skills. Have a productive stitching weekend. ❤Susan
Thanks so much, I think keeping the total stitch count for patterns to a certain level is very doable. I will have a better variety of sizes, too. I do tend to always be drawn to the baps.
I love that Paris alphabet. You have such a good eye for choosing the right variegated floss with the right pattern. I also love the blue bird and blue bell pattern. Just a thought, but maybe divide that pattern into 12 parts so it will b finished by next New Year’s Day. You’ve almost completed first month. You need that wall behind you covered in your accomplishments. That BAP would make a wonderful start. I have so many patterns and most are kitted. At least you have started yours. You do a great job. Enjoy whatever you choose. Life is short.
2nd comment...sorry, but have to point out sale and new small winter releases from Crocette a Gogo on 123 Stitch. You will love the snowmen and the tiny village scene. Exactly what you are allowing yourself to order, and with your upcoming sewing class, you'll be able to make little pillows of them or whatever. I shouldn't encourage you, but I bought my first Crocette a Gogo because of your influence. Lol it's now a WIP, but it's a beautiful WIP. Enjoy your stitching! You are my favorite enabler! Oh, I almost forgot why I thought of you when I saw these smalls...one is called the Fox in the Blue Scarf. It's darling and doable.
Hi Beth, your WIPs are looking so pretty. I want to start so many things but know I’d get frustrated if I had too many things on the go. I’m desperate to get some finishes so I can start something new even though I’ve had 3 new starts this month 😂! Happy stitching 😊
Just received awesome book from 123 Stitch. Currently out, but please get on the notification list. It's pricey; $35. It's ROSEWOOD MANOR BE CREATIVE! Cookbook and Cross Stitch patterns. It's 124pp of delicious recipes (I never cook anymore, but love to read cookbooks) with a pattern to stitch on almost every page. She says these are older patterns she made when commissioned by different stitching events or groups. You will love it, I promise.
I saw Lisa's event and haven't made a final decision yet - because of work as always. But the price sure can't be beat. I love your idea of "limiting" the new starts that way, by size. I'm not sure any of my new start potentials are outside that parameter but it's a good thing for me to think about as well.
That's a good idea for the starts! Quit beating yourself up!!! Do what you want. Now in February you have to tell me the same thing! I am good at the beating myself up! See you then
I love watching you, you have a lot of great projects and enjoy watching them come to life. FYI your lighting is blowing out some of the colors. This is just what I see it is not meant to be mean in any way as I said I love watching your videos weekly.
Hi Beth….may I ask where you get your potato lugana? A stitchy friend is on the hunt for it and I knew it was a favourite of yours. Thank you for any info you might have. 🦉🧵🪡
@TheStitchingOwl I used to get it by the yard at Brick City in Ocala FL, but she is retiring and closing up shop. I used to stop there when i visited a family member. I believe you can also get it at 123stitch.com

Lovely stitching as always. You choose such pretty projects and I like your use of the variegated flosses. So looking forward to WIP frenzy!

OMG. I miss-read the title as 113 WIPS. Stopped, grabbed a tea and a snack all ready to settle in LOL. Still enjoyed every minute ;)

After my February start my "rule" is only small starts. All 4 of my January starts were big, my next start is huge 😂😅
