@@HeraldOfOpera That is because she uses lycoris to link summon each time. If she didn't link summon as much she would off won more. In her first duel againts playmaker she could off won if she summoned two lycoris.

i have a trickstar deck and this here is the reason my friends hate and wish to hurt me. also if blue angel would play like this in the anime she would never lose.

@@arminarlert1953 Trickstars have cards that burn your opponent everytime the opponent draws cards, and the effect to burn isn't a 'once per turn' effect.
@@arminarlert1953 So Trickstars is a deck that inflicts a lot of small instances of effect damage in reaction to their opponent doing a variaty of things, but the most notorious being in retaliation for card draw which usually the deck can have means of forcing the opponent to do.
Playing Maxx-C against trickstars is fairly suicidal because as the deck that can already inflict a lot of damage using it's own tools, the Maxx-C just gives them a very easy and unavoidable trigger for their burn damage that they can use for their own.
The cl12 with a single card was pretty funny. Now I know what I'm using against my friend on our next casual duel - they also play fire kings, funnily enough.
It's worse when they go first in some ways. Because the only time I went against this deck, I went second, and the amount of times I was forced to draw was scary.
I actually over came this with my ddd deck with oracle so instead I turn the burn damage into life points after that u believe my opponent started panicking because they were trying hard to remove my oracle from the field but I did not let that happen

Fun fact, if you kill em with lyco-light chain, even if the opponent is dead lyco animation will still go so you can actually inflict dmg to someone at 0LP

Then again, even if the opponent didn't use Maxx "C", the Trickstar player still would've won by using the two tokens to make two Blooms and then using them to make Crimson Heart all while using their effects to force the opponent to draw 3 times, causing them to take 3000 damage per draw through the combined effects of Lycoris, Lightstage, and Dark Room of Nightmare.

My favorite deck is Raidraptors, and stuff like this is why I main deck three Raidraptor's Readiness. Raidraptor's Readiness is one of the few cards that effectively reads, "You cannot die this turn."
I used to play these on Link Evolution, loved that the stronger the opponent got the more damage they took. Might have to revisit them.

As a Trickstar player I can say
With this legendary hand - he could have defeated the opponent even without Maxx C.
I've never seen a chain go this far! So many creative and somewhat complicated duels have me confused and laughing

Just imagine two RoN, or even three of them with that chain. And the funny thing is the hand could have been that and still able to play the combo.

There are two decks one must never maxx C, six samurai and trickstar because one will cause a deck out and the other will burn life points.
There are another two, Cardian and Mayakashi.

Got a question. Trickstar Festival summons two tokens, but I only saw Maxx C trigger once. Does the Maxx C effect trigger on each special summon (in which case, the whole chain of Maxx C -> Lycoris -> Light Stage -> Dark Room loop would repeat a second time for a second time), or does the two token summons count as a single effect trigger due to the Maxx C wording "each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s)"?
The second one. If an effect special summons multiple monsters as a single effect then it only counts for 1 draw from Maxx "C".

The latter. Because of Maxx C’s wording (Each time your opponent special summons a monster *(s)* ), if something special summons more than one monster at a time it counts as a single draw. So Festival, which has the effect of “Special summon 2 Trickstar Tokens”, makes you draw 1 card from Maxx, whereas Lycoris bounce makes them draw 3 since it’s 3 separate Special Summons.
Trickstar’s definitely the worst deck to Maxx C against since they WANT you to draw cards to burn you to oblivion. Going off of 1 Trickstar Festival alone, they can make you draw 5 cards if you use Maxx C, 7 if they go into Crimson Heart. Which considering Lycoris + Light Stage + 1 Nightmares is a 1000 damage per Card for each Lycoris, yeah, that’s a lot of burn…

Maxx C is each TIME a summon happens.
Since the 2 tokens are summoned simultaneously, it's 1 "time".
To add on;
Lycoris' effect was each 1 single special summon, since it was 3 seperate effects, which results with 1 draw after each summon, which in turn procs all the currently summoned ones.
If they hadn't maxx c'd though that hand was Ripe to OTK regardless; 2 Tokens means 2 Links which will each be 1 draw, plus a Holly Angel to add on, which would've gotten a HUGE amount of attack here.
