One of the most frustrating trips I've ever had out with the Camera / recording for a TH-cam video. Only put this one together (from scratch) yesterday morning, and was expecting the final stages of Storm Darragh, so rather a lot of wind and rain - As it is I barely got any of the latter apart from a few sporadic occasions - Meant that I'd have been nothing short of furious with myself had I not gone out at all, this was a proper example where I'll be too fearful of the forecast, and will remain a Fair Weather Photographer by sticking in the warm instead... Need to get out of that habbit. Hope its not just me with this irritating mentality!! Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed this video... Hope to see you on the next one!! 👍👍
I find it very difficult to be sufficiently inspired to get out in messy conditions. I think if I had a mate to go with then it would work. Wandering around in sloppy weather, alone and uninspiring local conditions just adds up to a no go.
Thank for another inspiring video. You can still find interesting things when the weather is dull. Today I discovered scarecrows wearing hi-viz jackets!
Wont call u a fair weather photographer...love the mood you got something about this gives your work a variety and if alls fail for me i make it black n white...love the good work chap do have a blesser nite
Thanks so much, I did think about talking about just taking shots in B&W if all else fails in conditions like that, but thought I'd save it for another video!! 👍👍
Get some thermals and proper weatherproof layers on so you dont get cold and wet and you'll be able to stay out for longer without getting uncomfortable and take more pics. Stick a handwarmer in the pocket and wear a buff round the neck! Some lovely looking scenery there, I reckon that bare Winter countryside is crying out to try the monochrome settings on the camera.
Thanks for the tips, will definitely look into them, especially a handwarmer, as on really cold days its what I struggle with the most!! - Definitely thought about shooting in B&W when I went out, but was quite surprised by the amount of colour available - Agree with taking advantage on other days for sure 👍👍
You Brits seen to be able to walk anywhere. Here in Canada land everywhere is posted. Rather sad and ironic that our huge country is so selfishly bought up and posted by the wealthy.

Yeah we're really lucky, as we've got Right to Roam laws here, so there are a lot of places that we're allowed to walk!!
@neilstevensphotography wonderful country, my roots are there, sometimes tempted to live there
