When I was seven I used to listen to most of songs from 'Paraskthi'. now I am seventy ..still listening..

Thank you for the greetings, Professor sir. A very happy new year to you. The Hindi song is available in youtube uploaded by MsAURANGZEB786 in her/his channel. I started admiring the Tamil song from my 5th year (59 years back) and the Hindi song for the last 35 years. The situation for the Hindi song strangely was a happy one in which Dileep Kumar and the heroine (I don't know the actress' name) singing the song and Dileep Kumar playing piano. The starting meaning of the song goes like this: " when the eyes meet, the hearts unite" . Really wonderful song.

Thanks for your reference and comments on the Hindi song with the same tune 'milte hai aanken '. Yes the original tune of the song was in the Hindi movie Babul (1950) released two years before Parasakthi (1952). Celebrated music composer Naushad Ali scored the music for the divine poet Shakeel Badayuni's lyrics and sung by the wonderful singers Talat Mohammad and Shamshad Begum. The actors in the song were the famous actor Dilip Kumar and lesser known actress Munawar Sultana. Nargis also acted in the film. This is the TH-cam link for the Hindi song:

Yes, you are right. The song is in happy version in Hindi and sad version in Tamil. But as you said both are absolutely beautiful in their own way and quite meaningful as well. The song in Parasakthi is quite haunting and full of pathos, so beautifully expressed by the actress. I love both Tamil and Hindi tunes of the song. Golden songs from the golden era of Indian films.
