I stopped playing SSO years ago.. I got back on for my TH-cam channel and my club. I'm fed up with SSO doing stuff out without our consent and turn away all our ideas even though they say they go based off of our ideas.. it's stupid I'm completely dissatisfied with how SSO is turning out.. your videos are very understandable and I respect the reason you make these vids .. thx Denis

What? Nearly everything they add is user feedback? Maybe not the exact stuff *you* want, but there's only so much they can do at once. I'm pretty dissatisfied with the quality of their testing before releasing updates, but otherwise they've always been responsive to feedback. The idea that they need our consent before doing stuff is kinda absurd and not going to happen in literally any game?

I think I might have been the only one who was excited ab the bending animation changing. I'm one of the players who had an issue with the way their necks bent & seeing the change made me happy but I also don't do dressage
This video/channel has helped me see SSO TH-camrs and just TH-camrs in a different way. Your channel has also helped me get back into the game and I am super happy. just going to say it might not be like this for you, but i think almost always, the feeling of innocence and happiness lost is from traumatic depression. going through what you have is so traumatic. that kind of abuse forces you to harden up just to survive day to day. eventually i think your heart and mind will realize the whole world isn't abusive and cold, just the world you were trapped in for that time. i think you're really thoughtful and introspective and smart, and you're already aware of the place you want to get to emotionally again. you can do it dennis, i really believe in you. emotional damage is so similar to physical. no matter how you've been hurt, there's always a recovery process. you've got this

I actually that animation change in the gen 3 horses earlier this morning and honestly, when I first noticed it, I was doing a halloween quest. My first thought was that it was a bug that perhaps broke my poor horse. So I ran through my home stable and tested out every gen 3 that I had and they all had it. So I assumed that it was an update, which was proven correct here. I do personally like it just because of the "realism" that it has with SOME of the breeds. Idk, it could just be me that likes it but I'll leave it at that. Great video Denis!

It's funny. Ever since the update, it's so much BETTER for me. My gen 3 horses respond so much more easily than they used to. I'm literally beating race times I got on max horses now with a level 10 gen 3 because of how well the horse responds. It's weird because I have some club members say they hate the new movement and it's harder to control. But myself and others said this is the easiest it's been to control their horse. The others that said the same as me are doing the best they've ever done in champs now. How can this one update make people have such drastically different feelings of their horses? I'm so confused.

I've been abused too and a few days ago I've lost my best friend who I know since one year. I'm extremely sad and I'm also grieving because this is a process of grief just like losing your lover and you just speaking to us about the pain that you went through doesn't only help you but it also helps me and everyone else who can relate to you too
for the pestilant pumpkin, i highly recommend using chamomile, bee balm and soulshards or chamomile, bee balm and rubia, but i recommend the first order because it gives more luck to get it and i got it in 4 tries so hopefully thats helps you or anyone who wants it :)

I'm glad you're safe now, and just the fact that you are willing to talk about it to your fans means a lot. The sleep schedule worry me a bit ngl 😅 I've had similar experiences while gaming with friends overseas. In the end, the crazy hours of sleep were so bad, my irl relationships became fragile. There's a glitch with soulshards! You need to jump off the island while clicking on your horses name and then you go to your closet and close the name thing so you can move.Then you just go to the pot and click on it but before clicking on the 3 ingredients put them in the closet and repeat that till you get the pumpkin :)
i also went throught a breakup, toxic, gaslighting and lied to me and lost feelings and decided to be fake but also so unloving for months and after our breakup i was mentaly draining myself to figure out what i did wrong but how ever you feel after is completely normal ! we love you regardless!
So I usually don't comment as I like staying to myself but I'm sorry you've went through that, however you're not alone even I've been there and I'm still struggling with the memories haunting me and the reminders of that person being everywhere. Hearing you say that maybe you just feel too much and should care less made me really sad. I've spent my whole life in that mentality, feeling like it's better to shut my emotions down or keep people a little distant because I always seemed to love them so much more than they could reciprocate. I feel so much empathy, but I know that there are so few people that it's safe to fully let your guard down with. These days I find it so so hard to meet someone that I trust completely and can open up to emotionally to the full extent, and I would hate for that to happen to you too. I have only truly connected to 1 person emotionally, and I let him go. I regret that all the time, it's been years now. People feel on a spectrum, some people feel more than others, but that's a beautiful thing because feelings are what separate us from robots. The capacity to love and be loved, that's when we feel the most alive, the most human. Don't let anyone make you take that away from yourself.

You can cheat the shard thing. Just when you finish collecting the shards log off then log back on, and gather them again. Also I’m really sorry that you had to go through that terrible relationship... awesome video keep up the good work.
You can get the Pestilence Pumpkin using Shards, Bee, and Cham (shards are a requirement, but you can do the log off & on cheat to get a bunch of shards in a shorter amount of time). I have gotten it using that combo and I have talked to 8 other people that got it with the same combo. It took like 25 tries using that combo though. The nice part is that you can get Master & Designer horse shoes (along with the more resellable haunted trail items for JS).
Them adding the bending animation is not ruining the game. In real life people bend the horses around corner. So them adding it I like it and adds a realistic feature instead of the horse being stiff and not bending.

Thank you for understanding the sso dressage community with the bending update. It isn't the end of the world like it kinda was with the arena lines. But it would have been nice if they warned us since they changed a THIRD of their horse base. Like we bought the horses for those animations, neck bending and all. For general realism, I like it, but for sso dressage it's just something to relearn when it wasn't really necessary. We needed the sharpness of turns as a visual cue that we were doing it right.
I don't know if what SSO did was intentional to the breed- But I do have a paint, and her tail is tucked more into their hind end like that naturally. But- then again I don't know x) I definitely agree with you though. The Halloween update was a serious flop. I could tell they were trying to give more content, but it just didn't work. It wasn't enough to make the update any more exciting than it already is. If anything, it really only felt more grindy tbh. Now, I love grinding every once and a while, but I feel as though what SSO did was a bit excessive. In the end, thank you for making another one of these. I personally like how the horses turn now, I didn't see all the breeds but some of them look more realistic such as the paint horse, I usually don't like what SSO does but this time I think they didn't ruin the horses that much, or at least not all of them.

Getting the pumpkin is just not fun anymore for me, just frustrating. After like a 100+ tries still nothing. Saved up another 400 shards and gonna try next week when SSO increases chances again. If that won't be enough, I'm definitely giving up, even though I'm kind of a pet collector too.

sso lost me when the friesian 3.0 came out. The community gave sso a lot of good critiscisim before that and they just ignored everything and put out one of the ugliest horse ever.
It’s been 10 years to the day since I started SSO, and heck the game has changed a lot over the past decade ~ some for best and some for the worst. I miss having just one horse, I feel like buying horses is just a fad with no real incentive other than just having another new horse…the game to me felt more personal and involved years gone by compared to now. Maybe it’s because I’m 24 and not 14 anymore but idk it’s just saddening to me

The paint horses aren't the only ones with buggy tails, the poor jorvik wilds horses have a weird tail bug too that makes the tail almost completely crooked and off centered. This probably sounds dumb but I don't ride my jorvik wild as much because how much the tail rly bothers me.
my biggest problem about this halloween update is the way HOW they made it "harder". There are many ways to make it more difficult but this is NOT the way to go about it. Only a few have the motivations to unlock all those portals, also the number of shards for those stupid portals are so ridiculously high. I played one day of the event and not more.
I hope that sso won't leave the bending update at this stage. It may look more realistic on a few horses, but on some, it's stiff and hard to look at. Also, the bending wasn't adapted to the rest of the game; the way our horses turn looks very robotic compared to the terrain - like we are riding a vehicle. Apart from that, I would like to say that you are really amazing with your honesty, your developed criticism, and the way you look for the good and bad parts of what sso does. I don't know if it will help you, but after heartbreaks, abandonments, or lies - best friends are animals, in my opinion. Maybe they won't give you any advice, but when you hug a horse and feel his heart beating, his warmth and calmness, or when a cat fawns at you, purring and meowing for attention... well, I think that is even more than therapy. Of course, it depends on the person, some would prefer to talk to someone, but sometimes when you don't want to talk to anyone, you may find much comfort in an animal pal. Keep going, your heart will be cured after some time, although the scars will stay, they won't be something to be ashamed of, but something you should be proud of because you got out alive of this sht

Yes the horses lost whatever personality they had. They don't get tired anymore, they aren't hungry anymore... They are just like machines, they don't feel like animals they feel like machines. And ye they "fix" Stuff they don't have to, like with the sc, js and Starrider symbols they suck so much. They said the are optimizing it but only because we pestered them for days. Honestly sso sucks more and more and thats infuriating. Because I paid for this literal piece of trash. Yes, sso is trash rn. And they aren't fixing it. And it's really sad. The games not worth those even more expensive prices. I was hoping they would make up to it but no.... 😢😭 and it's because I love this game so much it means so much to me ahhhhh
I really enjoy your videos, i find comfort in them knowing that you arent faking or lying about your true opinion on this game. It really seems like sso is just continuing to go down hill. I find comfort in knowing SSO wont last 20years from now. The conditions of this game is terrible. Its almost as greedy as your average gacha game. And all you are getting is horses, there isnt really special qualities or personality behind any of them. All they have under their belt is good looks and animation. But reality is that these horses you buy are all empty husks, they have no personality to them. They are the exact same horse and will always be. When you are to train them to 15 but the racing system is so agonizingly boring and you have to literally grind races for horse exp. Clothes and other cosmetics cost a fortune. We beg and beg for more main story quests, but when we get them, questing is shallow, empty and predictable. The changed character looks is nice, but it feels like the new looks sacrificed the entire character, this is for every character, esp the soul riders. Everything in this game just feels so shallow and empty. The updates we get are so predictable. And majority of our updates we are getting new horses. The sad thing is that sso has been like this for so long. I truly dont see this game existing within 10 years from now. But at the same time it could still exist because the players who enjoyed the game and played through it is stuck in that long loop of buying horses training them and then getting new ones to kill time waiting for a new update. So many things i can mention about this game, i admire the people who can still play and enjoy the game because as a long term playerr i cant bring myself to look at the icon in my desktop anymore without being instantly drained of energy. Sorry about the negativity. I truly hope you have a good day :)
They fix things that don’t need fixing, including some of the “inconveniences” like no more stamina, taking out the cold weather horses, those kinds of things that made the game feel like the horses were “real” and had personality. And in the villages I never feel connected to the characters anymore, all the coziness of the game has turned plastic, now all the imperfections are no longer charming, they’re simply glitches.
I’d also like to be able to change my name, I named myself in the game the same as my irl name cuz I was younger, and now I’ve changed my name and don’t really wanna see my deadname everytime I interact with characters 😅
Someone needs to call out star stables staff cause they raised the prices, if we want other horses we have to spend real money to get them instead of earning them or using in game cash. They clearly do not care and from what i heard this games been out for 11 years and they are now just doing things. We dont even have quest to do dressage which i would like alot... but they just dont care...

What? Nearly everything they add is user feedback? Maybe not the exact stuff *you* want, but there's only so much they can do at once. I'm pretty dissatisfied with the quality of their testing before releasing updates, but otherwise they've always been responsive to feedback. I actually that animation change in the gen 3 horses earlier this morning and honestly, when I first noticed it, I was doing a halloween quest. My first thought was that it was a bug that perhaps broke my poor horse. So I ran through my home stable and tested out every gen 3 that I had and they all had it. So I assumed that it was an update, which was proven correct here. I do personally like it just because of the "realism" that it has with SOME of the breeds. Idk, it could just be me that likes it but I'll leave it at that. Great video Denis!

Ever since the update, it's so much BETTER for me. My gen 3 horses respond so much more easily than they used to.
I'm literally beating race times I got on max horses now with a level 10 gen 3 because of how well the horse responds.
It's weird because I have some club members say they hate the new movement and it's harder to control. But myself and others said this is the easiest it's been to control their horse. The others that said the same as me are doing the best they've ever done in champs now.
How can this one update make people have such drastically different feelings of their horses? I'm so confused.

I've been abused too and a few days ago I've lost my best friend who I know since one year. I'm extremely sad and I'm also grieving because this is a process of grief just like losing your lover and you just speaking to us about the pain that you went through doesn't only help you but it also helps me and everyone else who can relate to you too
for the pestilant pumpkin, i highly recommend using chamomile, bee balm and soulshards or chamomile, bee balm and rubia, but i recommend the first order because it gives more luck to get it and i got it in 4 tries so hopefully thats helps you or anyone who wants it :)

The sleep schedule worry me a bit ngl 😅 I've had similar experiences while gaming with friends overseas. In the end, the crazy hours of sleep were so bad, my irl relationships became fragile. If you want to get it back to normal, it's okay to take it slow, to let yourself adjust and rest.

There's a glitch with soulshards! You need to jump off the island while clicking on your horses name and then you go to your closet and close the name thing so you can move.Then you just go to the pot and click on it but before clicking on the 3 ingredients put them in the closet and repeat that till you get the pumpkin :)
i also went throught a breakup, toxic, gaslighting and lied to me and lost feelings and decided to be fake but also so unloving for months and after our breakup i was mentaly draining myself to figure out what i did wrong but how ever you feel after is completely normal ! we love you regardless!

Hearing you say that maybe you just feel too much and should care less made me really sad. I've spent my whole life in that mentality, feeling like it's better to shut my emotions down or keep people a little distant because I always seemed to love them so much more than they could reciprocate. I feel so much empathy, but I know that there are so few people that it's safe to fully let your guard down with. These days I find it so so hard to meet someone that I trust completely and can open up to emotionally to the full extent, and I would hate for that to happen to you too. I have only truly connected to 1 person emotionally, and I let him go. I regret that all the time, it's been years now. People feel on a spectrum, some people feel more than others, but that's a beautiful thing because feelings are what separate us from robots. The capacity to love and be loved, that's when we feel the most alive, the most human. Don't let anyone make you take that away from yourself.

You can cheat the shard thing. Just when you finish collecting the shards log off then log back on, and gather them again. Also I’m really sorry that you had to go through that terrible relationship... awesome video keep up the good work.
You can get the Pestilence Pumpkin using Shards, Bee, and Cham (shards are a requirement, but you can do the log off & on cheat to get a bunch of shards in a shorter amount of time). I have gotten it using that combo and I have talked to 8 other people that got it with the same combo. It took like 25 tries using that combo though. The nice part is that you can get Master & Designer horse shoes (along with the more resellable haunted trail items for JS).
Them adding the bending animation is not ruining the game. In real life people bend the horses around corner. So them adding it I like it and adds a realistic feature instead of the horse being stiff and not bending.

Thank you for understanding the sso dressage community with the bending update. It isn't the end of the world like it kinda was with the arena lines. But it would have been nice if they warned us since they changed a THIRD of their horse base. Like we bought the horses for those animations, neck bending and all. For general realism, I like it, but for sso dressage it's just something to relearn when it wasn't really necessary. We needed the sharpness of turns as a visual cue that we were doing it right.
I don't know if what SSO did was intentional to the breed- But I do have a paint, and her tail is tucked more into their hind end like that naturally. But- then again I don't know x)
I definitely agree with you though. The Halloween update was a serious flop. I could tell they were trying to give more content, but it just didn't work. It wasn't enough to make the update any more exciting than it already is. If anything, it really only felt more grindy tbh. Now, I love grinding every once and a while, but I feel as though what SSO did was a bit excessive.

I personally like how the horses turn now, I didn't see all the breeds but some of them look more realistic such as the paint horse, I usually don't like what SSO does but this time I think they didn't ruin the horses that much, or at least not all of them.

sso lost me when the friesian 3.0 came out. The community gave sso a lot of good critiscisim before that and they just ignored everything and put out one of the ugliest horse ever.
It’s been 10 years to the day since I started SSO, and heck the game has changed a lot over the past decade ~ some for best and some for the worst. I miss having just one horse, I feel like buying horses is just a fad with no real incentive other than just having another new horse…the game to me felt more personal and involved years gone by compared to now. Maybe it’s because I’m 24 and not 14 anymore but idk it’s just saddening to me

The paint horses aren't the only ones with buggy tails, the poor jorvik wilds horses have a weird tail bug too that makes the tail almost completely crooked and off centered. This probably sounds dumb but I don't ride my jorvik wild as much because how much the tail rly bothers me.

my biggest problem about this halloween update is the way HOW they made it "harder". There are many ways to make it more difficult but this is NOT the way to go about it. Only a few have the motivations to unlock all those portals, also the number of shards for those stupid portals are so ridiculously high. I played one day of the event and not more.
I hope that sso won't leave the bending update at this stage. It may look more realistic on a few horses, but on some, it's stiff and hard to look at. Also, the bending wasn't adapted to the rest of the game; the way our horses turn looks very robotic compared to the terrain - like we are riding a vehicle.
Apart from that, I would like to say that you are really amazing with your honesty, your developed criticism, and the way you look for the good and bad parts of what sso does. I don't know if it will help you, but after heartbreaks, abandonments, or lies - best friends are animals, in my opinion. Maybe they won't give you any advice, but when you hug a horse and feel his heart beating, his warmth and calmness, or when a cat fawns at you, purring and meowing for attention... well, I think that is even more than therapy. Of course, it depends on the person, some would prefer to talk to someone, but sometimes when you don't want to talk to anyone, you may find much comfort in an animal pal.
Keep going, your heart will be cured after some time, although the scars will stay, they won't be something to be ashamed of, but something you should be proud of because you got out alive of this sht

Yes the horses lost whatever personality they had. They don't get tired anymore, they aren't hungry anymore... They are just like machines, they don't feel like animals they feel like machines. And ye they "fix" Stuff they don't have to, like with the sc, js and Starrider symbols they suck so much. They said the are optimizing it but only because we pestered them for days. Honestly sso sucks more and more and thats infuriating. Because I paid for this literal piece of trash. Yes, sso is trash rn. And they aren't fixing it. And it's really sad. The games not worth those even more expensive prices. I was hoping they would make up to it but no.... 😢😭 and it's because I love this game so much it means so much to me ahhhhh
I really enjoy your videos, i find comfort in them knowing that you arent faking or lying about your true opinion on this game. It really seems like sso is just continuing to go down hill. I find comfort in knowing SSO wont last 20years from now. The conditions of this game is terrible. Its almost as greedy as your average gacha game. And all you are getting is horses, there isnt really special qualities or personality behind any of them. All they have under their belt is good looks and animation. But reality is that these horses you buy are all empty husks, they have no personality to them. They are the exact same horse and will always be. When you are to train them to 15 but the racing system is so agonizingly boring and you have to literally grind races for horse exp. Clothes and other cosmetics cost a fortune. We beg and beg for more main story quests, but when we get them, questing is shallow, empty and predictable. The changed character looks is nice, but it feels like the new looks sacrificed the entire character, this is for every character, esp the soul riders. Everything in this game just feels so shallow and empty. The updates we get are so predictable. And majority of our updates we are getting new horses. The sad thing is that sso has been like this for so long. I truly dont see this game existing within 10 years from now. But at the same time it could still exist because the players who enjoyed the game and played through it is stuck in that long loop of buying horses training them and then getting new ones to kill time waiting for a new update. So many things i can mention about this game, i admire the people who can still play and enjoy the game because as a long term playerr i cant bring myself to look at the icon in my desktop anymore without being instantly drained of energy. Honestly, LoZ:Breath of the Wild horses feel more like horses than SSO's; and SSO is a HORSE riding game.

They fix things that don’t need fixing, including some of the “inconveniences” like no more stamina, taking out the cold weather horses, those kinds of things that made the game feel like the horses were “real” and had personality. And in the villages I never feel connected to the characters anymore, all the coziness of the game has turned plastic, now all the imperfections are no longer charming, they’re simply glitches.
I’d also like to be able to change my name, I named myself in the game the same as my irl name cuz I was younger, and now I’ve changed my name and don’t really wanna see my deadname everytime I interact with characters 😅
Someone needs to call out star stables staff cause they raised the prices, if we want other horses we have to spend real money to get them instead of earning them or using in game cash. They clearly do not care and from what i heard this games been out for 11 years and they are now just doing things. We dont even have quest to do dressage which i would like alot... but they just dont care...
