It's Just Gardening.
Gardening is simple, just plant it and let them grow. Gardening in the DMV area, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
I live in suburban Northern Virginia Zone 7a. I converted my front and back yard into a garden food forest, hoping to have all year-round produce.
In addition to growing greens, I also grow some Cold Hardy trees and plants, like different varieties of Russian pomegranate, citrumelo, pineapple guava, yuzu lemon, Meyer lemon, and oranges. Some are in the ground outdoors and in an unheated greenhouse.
Below is the list of my plants:
pawpaw, citrumelo, yuzu lemon, Meyer lemon, Guava, sugar cane, jujube, Russian pomegranate Salavatski, grapes muscadine, orange, tangerine, blueberry, blackberry, flying dragon, loquat, passion fruits, maypop, banana, figs, honeyberry.

I just planted mine yesterday. I was not sure if I should amend the soil in the fall. I had already put some goat manure in the bed. Have you done the elephant garlic for many years? I'm in zone 5 a I'm not sure if it would work.🎉great video

Hi, i think you are find with the goat manure, you can alway come back to add fertilizer/compost later if needed, most people amend the soil because it was grown with something before and the soil nutrient got sucked out, and by amending it they don't have to come back and fertilize it later on the season. This is my second year growing elephant garlic, what i've read is elephant garlic is cold hardy down to zone 3. So think its worth a try in zone 5, if you are iffy about it, one thing you can do is make a cheap cold frame out of plastic.
