Wow, you've really cracked on with the trees/shrubs/marginals. You've not mentioned any leaks so I hope that's positive ... although with a goodly number of ducks and geese their poop should add to the benefit of having so much clay.
It's best not to add manure around trees when planting as they tend not to leave the planting hole and stakes should be put at 45 degree to help with wind on a exposed site
I really dont want to spoil the party, but planting trees on a earth/clay dam is a very bad idea. once they die and the roots decay water will start seeping through the former root channels.
Also planting trees too near the lake will lead to leaves building up sludge eventually polluting the water Wildlife ponds in general should recive plenty of sunlight
We still haven’t seen or had a full video tour off the lake after it was built or is this a different project??😮
No same project.. would you like a walk around video?? Think we have something like that planned in the next few weeks.
You guys are awesome! It’s like my dream comes reality! A big like for you 🎉
Thank you for the kind words, we're very fortunate to be working on this amazing project and we can't wait to see it develop!
Loveee that you’re planting trees ❤❤

wow.......what huge change. all that hard work is clearly paying off now, well done.
Thanks
Lot of hard graft gone into this. Top work 👏
Thanks
Amazing project, huge kudos for seeing it through.! Will it be accessible to the public?
We open it up for our members to visit in the summer.
Would love the chance to fish this lake once ready for anglers.
Fair bit of growing to do yet...thanks for watching.

For the last month or so we have had around 100 wild ducks arrive every evening.
