  • Pamela's PRO Workout is a powerful generative source of both random rhythms and modulation. Combined with the loop parameters, pitch quantiser, and more, these sources of randomness can be transformed into repeating rhythmic or note sequences that can be altered and shaped or evolved. In this follow up to part 1 we take a look at how to reset the random seed using Cross Operations, creating a completely new sequence every 4 bars.
    Note this can be done using any external CV as well by setting the Cross Source to 'In 1' or 'In 2'.
    This is part of our new video series where we take a closer look at the more unique and powerful features of Pamela's PRO Workout. Subscribe to stay up to date on upcoming videos in the series!

    These videos are so helpful, I was loving Pam's already but even more now. Can I just mention how clear eveything sounds, what a great job of mixing the voice with the sounds without being too distracted..amazing job..thank you!

    These, which I'm binging now with the newest addition to the VCV module family :), are super nice! Thank you!

    Awesome as always.
    Question: is it possible to trigger a Seed change from one of the CV inputs? Additionally, is it possible to trigger a Seed change by using the Axon-2 buttons?

      Yes - use the 'SEED" cross op and assign the cross src to a CV input (you can then send in a trigger to re-seed). Its not currently possible to 're-seed' via an Axon-2 button.

    Huh, so it looks like my new Pam's can replace my Turing Machine!?

    • @StatsGod
      @StatsGod 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not quite, because SEED will generate a completely new pattern. What is needed is something like TM's probability of changing a CV/trigger.

      @@StatsGod But u have that in Pam's as well.

      @@ericmosh how? I've been trying to figure that out. You have probability of playing a note, but is there a probability of replacing a note?

    Can this also be achieved using Pam’s New Workout?

      Not really (basic random looping is possible). This series focuses on new features and improvements only available in the latest Pam.
