I think they mean conventionaly pretty and if course not everybody is. And that's okay! I think it's better to say that there are more important qualities that one can have than saying 'everybody is beautiful' because it's just not true. If you tell someone who isn't conventionaly pretty that they are beautiful they are probably not going to believe you and that will shatter their self-esteem more than if you just said that you think they have more to offer than their looks. But that's just my opinion and of course you are allowed to have yours. Btw I say this as a not conventionaly pretty person
