What ashame after independence the government of South Sudan abolished their mother tongue language and using English a language that doesnt exist in your enveronments, same mistakes the rest Africa commited that they delayed progress and development bcs you excluded your citizens in participation in your development due to language imposed on your citizens. The biggest mistake because it was what the other African country did they are caged, not capable of doing good things only curruption triabalism and killings daily. A country without his birth language will never progress. Remember, your language is your identity. The majority of those with development todays are those who use her birth language. You are going nowhere without your birth language. It is the fact.

@My-Army4life It is the solution to be part of the world to have a say also to give your citizens back their identity as a free nation. Every country's name derived from his birth language. English is an English speaking country, and so are the other countries in the world. Stop insulting your great grand father. It is a shame, and it must stop. No language is better than your birth language.

@My-Army4life English, French, Spanish, are international language that doesn't mean you have to abandon your birth language to use someone else language is very degrading as a nation. Allow your citizens to be proud of yours. There is nothing wrong in learning another language it must be a choice.. Is shame to be teaching or speaking someone else's language in your mother land , is a shame and a disgrace and disrespectful to your country. Every country can learn other languages but your birth language is more important for your development bcs it your mother milk.

'birth language' as you call it is yes very important!
having two tongues is an important decision some communities make, some try for even more which can create even more difficultly, it's possible for some
Arabic is a possible choice, English which is similar to high Spanish is another possible choice, French or German or Portuguese
adding another language to Africa such as Hindi or Russian or Irish, Welsh.. that is complicated, and some even have reasonable arguments to cast out an existing language, or if taking a new one to replace an existing language with it, it's a great long debate
maintaining birth language is difficult when taking on another speech, and timing is important when adding something, while something added can always be cast out if that becomes desirable, it can be difficult
with some certain languages, a birth language can shape that other language, a little, usually, sometimes a lot in some cases
