Superb break mate you were very unlucky.. I thought your cue was going to turn into a javelin after the pink at the end haha. It happens to the best of us.
Matthew Hill I have quite a few headcam videos on the channel, some using a much better camera. There's a 144 amongst them. Anyway, not playing much these days, it would be difficult to get back to this standard. Thanks for watching.
hi, I was wondering if you can help me with my aiming , I have heard about and practised the "ghost ball" method but I don't think that's very ideal and that helpful for me... Can you tell me how you aim the cue ball to the to the object ball, like where to hit the cue ball, how much to cut it etc....I find it that I cut it was too much then little ...Any advice to improve my aiming and accuracy would be greatly appreciated.
I tried the ghost ball in the past and it didn't work for me either. Ive been playing a long time and don't really use an aiming method any more . However in the early days I used to imagine a line drawn between the cue ball, object ball and the pocket. Other times I would just imagine a dot on the object ball and aim for it. At the end of the day it really just comes down to practice and long hours at the table. If youre having trouble with certain shots just keep setting them up over and over and you will become more familiar with what works. The downside is that we don't always miss due to aiming. A reliable straight cue action is priceless when it comes to potting and is harder to come by than knowing the potting angles......good luck and great photo by the way ;))
What an awesome break! Your playing style is very different from conventional one where top and bottom spin plus varying hitting strength is used to control positioning. Instead, you hit most of your shots with relatively hard strength and with sides. It seems like you played on a general club table rather than a tournament table, which gentle hitting strength is good enough to control positioning. Have you tried playing a tournament table or you always play the same table? I asked so because I doubt the consistency of your game if you use sides too often. The pro players that we see on TV use medium to low hitting strength in most shots.
Snooker Yes ive played on pro standard tables where the cloth is a lot faster and cushions have a lot more bounce. Those conditions made the game easier for me but the downside was the tighter pockets.
Well the tigher pockets must have been a major downside. No doubt this was an excellent break with positional play, and that last pick to get on the yellow, as well as the yellow itself were both amazing shots. But some of the shots would have never dropped on a tournament table, your pockets were pretty wide.
I see you're using quite a lot of side on almost every pot. What are the upsides of doing that instead of playing them center ball with either stun, screw or follow?
Centre ball always makes more sense but I got into the habit of playing with running side on a lot of shots. Some call it helping side but as I say, probably better to play centre ball when possible.
+Thomas Kandiah Snooker is such a difficult game. If you want to become a good player it takes loads of practice and possibly some coaching. Not many players are willing to put in the time required but there is no easy option. Just depends on how much you want it.
thats the thing tho, i'v been playing snooker everyday for 5 (at of 6) years for 6-8 hours. iv had coaching for 4 years. i'v watched nearly all the games on youtube and tv. i know my way of the table but i cant seem to get the outcome that im looking for. great breaks btw
+Thomas Kandiah Okay, thats a lot of snooker. I cant think why you havnt improved after all that. Something needs to change but without seeing you play i cant think what???
+amarsbarr Sometimes it is on the cue but it never really improved my pot success. Tried it through the years but it never did anything for me and it just seems easier to sight the balls if I'm slightly off the cue.

Awesome 👏
Love this, can you do more? I always see you comment on pretty much every snooker video!

The Snookerist ahahahahahah, what do you think of the CTE (center to edge) aiming method? Also, search up "The Hodgetwins" and you will know =)

The black @1:20, goes in 0/10000000 on the tables I play on. you must have buckets for pockets :o
Nice break never the less
Just standard club pockets. One of those rare shots when a ball drops but shouldn't...
Are you applying a touch of right hand side and top spin on most shots or is it due to the position of the headcam?
A bit of both really. I have some newer headcam videos in HD.
Fucking excellent mate - love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i cant see my self cleaning up the table in one setting i'v been playing for 5/6 years and i'm struggling to get a 20+ break.

+Thomas Kandiah you understand cueball throw? that will take you from 20 breaks to 40 overnight. I leave it to you to research. Good luck
Great editing make some more
Thanks, there are similar breaks on the first page of my channel.
Nice break man, but how the hell did that black drop at 1:17
SpinzHD Edits It was certainly an unusual one but I've seen similar examples when watching the pros. Cheers
As bocas são enormes!! Aqui onde jogo, custa passar uma bola e bola colada é defesa! vi muitas bolas serem bicadas nesse jogo.
The pockets are standard club size. They might look bigger because of the camera view.

how did 1:19 go in ? :D
A dab of black magic..
very decent but howcomes your chin is not resting on the cue like 95% of the other snooker players......
