If you have a current draw the way to diagnose is to remove fuses one at a time until the draw goes away. Pretty simple search TH-cam I'm sure there are several good videos on this.
While this is a great way to track it down, when you purchase a new 80k trunk under warranty you should don’t have to do this, but Ford should have to be doing this.
Desperate times means Desperate measures. Both of your 7.3's have way too many problems. You deserve a lot of credit for preventing buyers from jumping on the problem wagon.
Yikes. Sorry you are having issues..I’d take the negative terminal to the battery and put a multimeter in series attach one meter lead to the negative and the other to the cable. Measure the draw. Then you can turn off features or pull fuses until you see the draw stop. Once you do you will know where your battery drain is. Sad that the dealership didn’t do that for you.
Had an f350 that did this. Never did figure out the issue. We installed a hot side toggle switch at the battery so we could cut power when it was going to be sitting for a few days.
It’s the fuse box it is bad. It’s common since 2020. I can’t remember the technical name for it at the moment I am drawing a blank. The dealership should know this and should have fixed it the first time you took it to them.
Been a Ford man all my life, just like my father. When I started seeing more and more quality issues, I thought I’d try a Ram. Never owned any mopars in my life, but heard good things. 5 years later, I have a Cummins 2500 and two 6.4 2500s. Never had a single issue with any of them. Never going back to Ford.
Yep same issue here. I only drive it once or twice a week. I just put a Noco Genius 2 amp maintainer on it and the plug is in the passenger wheel well by the spring. I just plug it in when not driving it. It is garage kept so not a big deal. Definitely shouldn’t have to but here we are. Maybe one day when I get bored I will do a parasitic draw test and find the culprit. Definitely don’t want my Dealer touching it. The other issue is with low state of charge you won’t get OTA updates. Probably a good idea to open a case with Ford Corporate and maybe if enough of us do they will find a solution and with any luck an OTA updates to solve it so the Dealer (which doesn’t care) doesn’t have to touch it.
I have a 22 F150 and had battery issues. I solved it by not carrying the FOB unless I plan on driving the truck since the lighting would be enabled if I walked close enough. The lighting being enabled numerous times a day while the truck sat for a few weeks resulted in a battery too weak to start the truck. The algorithim for charging the battery is weighted too much for fuel economy than functionality.
No battery drain issues on mine so far. Makes that same noise as yours. 7.3GZ and single battery. No lariat ultimate package or pro power. Maybe it’s some features you have that I don’t that causes the problem. Keep a mobile jump starter with you just in case. That’s what I did with my PowerBoost F150. Terrible battery drain issues in that one.
I also have a 2024 F250 Lariat and have had some crazy issues. One problem I had was I would set the parking brake and then when I was ready to move I couldn’t release it . And of course it’s electronically controlled. I don’t know what was wrong with pulling a handle release like in older trucks??? The second issue was a rattle in the steering column that sounded horrible almost like something drastic is about to happen. These two problems at about 1500 miles . These two issues were resolved at a dealership that I did not purchase the truck from. I wanted to share this experience with you because it sounds to me like the Dealership is feeding you a line . I mean seriously if you bought your truck in California and moved to Florida I’m sure the Dealership wouldn’t expect you to take it back to California for repairs.
Yeah but it should be if it's a 2024... you sound like those people who say "my truck has 90k and runs great". That's cute. Get back to me after you put 300-400k like it'd ever make it. 8 years that thing will be in the scarp yard

Where do you keep your key in proximity of the truck? I try to keep all my keys away but my wife had one in her purse and she triggers all that stuff everyday she leaves and comes home. Still no battery issues.
My boat had the same issue found out it was a diode in the alternator that was failing. Had it rebuilt and was good for about a year then had to replace it
The chirp sound seems to be coming from the metal square brake module behind your phone in my truck. I can hold my hand in the line coming out of it to the brake fluid reservoir and feel it vibrate but I can’t identify that chirp
I was hoping whatever they had done before which I gather was really nothing in the end, other than installing a new battery, was the fix. So what feedback have you been seeing, on forums etc or others that you know who own a similarly equipped truck, is this just the theme all owners have to "live with" ?. This battery drain issue them has become more common in later years due to the lovely technology of various vehicle brands. My brother owns a couple of problem vehicles among his various vehicles and I know a fair bit of the problem stems from either a built in or added security system that draws power even if the system alarm is not set. The work around comes down to putting a battery tender on the vehicle and more than likely in a semi permanent way ( zip tie straps can be used to hold the unit along on an inner fender well for example ). The brand and model he has been using has enough amps to slowly bring up a two battery diesel system to full charge as the smallest tenders do not apparently. Its a NOCO Genius 5 and has the settings for battery type and which voltage, and yes it covers the typical newer 12 volt AGM batteries in the newer trucks and once set seems to hold its memory setting. Attachment wise to the battery this model can have either a pigtail that has ringlets that attach to the battery, or instead alligator clips. Probably going with the ringlets on a vehicle that gets used often would be the best and if one could route the cord so the hood didn't have to always be lifted would be better as well. I know, its a shitty deal and not what one should have to resort to on a brand new vehicle but its better to do this than have a dead battery or worse have a battery split, not sure what an AGM will do if dead, a wet battery will certainly split and run acid through the vehicles engine bay and eat your cement driveway or shop floor. When the truck gets parked at the end of the day and doubt you will use it for a few days, plug it in. Assuming the truck will get traded in at some point, simply take the tender off and utilize it on the next vehicle.

@trhediger to keep the channel rolling eventually the truck will be traded, and unfortunately it will be the next buyers issue, which I hate doing to someone. Because the close dealers won't work on it, the other dealer that I bought it from is 50 miles each way and they don't always have loaners I will just charge it often to keep it up, which stinks. The rest of the truck is really great. Whether it's a lariat, lariat ultimate issue or even lower trims it just stinks. It literally will shut down features even dome lights until the battery is 75%. Since they won't fix anything it's a mute point to take it in. They said after 12k miles they won't replace the battery anymore.
