But seeking a significant leave of absence to have a holiday during school term for kids is a different situation.
Hope all are well with you all. Don’t worry too much with the school absence although there are lots of stories about getting fines from the schools through these few years. All schools are going through tremendous pressures to increase back their pupils attendance. The schools don’t have the rights to grant permission for any absence because they’re not permitted to do so even if you go through the HT. Therefore, they cannot reply the email from you all and by all means it’s also to save guard the school when they are being audited. Before summer holidays this year I’ve spoken to the HT regards our plans to travel home for CNY and although she’s understanding and finds it favourable because it’s important to preserve our culture for our child but because they’re still not permitted to grant permission. On the other hand, the school has the duty to know the whereabouts of their students, in accordance to their welfare because they’re still underaged. Hence, for us to go ahead with our plans hasn’t been challenged for us to proceed. I’m not sure if it has helped that our child has been 7 years with the same school and the only time of absence are due to being unwell and although after post lockdown we also did lots of homeschooling as we still retrieve her out from school whenever there are announcements of Covid outbursts in within the school. Also being the fact, the school realised we also do lots of teachings and revisions with our child on daily routine and we never had the record of retrieving our child out from school just to save on airfares as all our holidays are done during school holidays itself. 我都試過，仲係covid要隔離期間(2021年一月尾至四月)，香港仲要唔俾在英國的人入境，終於要在杜拜住滿21日才可飛返香港，到左香港仲要隔離21日，終於用左40幾日返香港先可自由行動。但在請假方面，學校好understanding，一講左原因立即批，於是在隔離期間，一直上網課。過程係辛苦嘅，但一切順利便好了。祝順利平安。

@@joulohuiuk唔係名校，但D老師及副校真係好好，在covid不用返學期間，D藝術科老師驚D學生唔夠材料在屋企做portfolio，於是逐個學生問需要咩，然後親自揸車去不同學生的家中送材料及畫具，好感動。

香港繁華當然好，唔繁華都好，清靜啲。
我住Scotland ,小學請假好似比較鬆手，我見我囡有同學仔開學冇幾耐就全家去 Spain 玩兩個星期都冇問題😅，以前亦有同學響學期中去旅行亦得😄
有一年我足足返了香港四次 第一次我們興高采烈地帶著三歲大的哥哥和還在腹中的弟弟翻去見爺爺嫲嫲 第二和三次我獨自回去陪嫲嫲看病 第四次我和哥哥兩個回去辦她人生最後一件事 那時懷孕八個多月的太太遺憾地未能回去 感慨！
