    Terrific video, informative as always. My one suggestion or ask would be that you upload the excel worksheet as a file and include it in the description so we could follow along without manually inputting any of the data. Thanks again, great work!

    When you want to copy and paste multiple control items going down the page; the place where you enter the cell number you want to control, remove the dollar signs ($) on the first one and it should allow you to copy and paste without having to go back in to correct the box you want to control.... I enjoy your videos.

    Thanks for introducing this interesting function. One suggestion: it would be nice to remind the learners that in order to drag the scrollbar, one need to first select that cell. It was one blocker for me when I was practising the function myself...

    Is there a way to make a scroll bar for a particular column, so that you can scroll through a column (or row I suppose) without having to move entire page?

I would personally like to see a troubleshooting video. I have issues sometimes with files that seem to be lost. When I click restore the file, I get error saying it is not available to restore. Is there hope for this? Thanks.

    I'v got a question about this. If you have hundreds of rows and you want to add a scroll bar to each can you use the formula brush from the home tab to copy the scroll formula all the way down or are you resigned to add this to each cell one at a time?

    Very clear. I would want to use the scroller to scroll through the content of the cell without having to change it's size. Is that possible? I tried this but it only shows me the amount of values I defined :(

    • @flameofthephoenix8395
      @flameofthephoenix8395 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also want that, the only way I've found so far to do something like that is using the =OFFSET Formula, and even then you have to define the list in a bunch of other cells off screen. It works, but it looks choppy.

    Isn't there an easier way to link to each cell ? like dragging or so ?

  • @marcq877
    @marcq877 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting information. however I have 2 questions:
    1. the scroll bar properties shows current value in the cell as "10". The real value in the cell was 11. So now by putting your scroll bar in a cell with existing data, the value has been overwritten?
    2. I believe it is easier to type something like 175 than scrolling the slider until I reach the correct value as I can see it is easier to get over or under that value and then it will take some time to move it to the correct value.... Just typing seems more appropriate in this case.
    But this is just my opinion. Nice tutorial video though, thank you.

    I don't see how a scroll bar is better/faster than manually inputting the number.

      In many cases you’re right. But there are exceptions.

    • @flameofthephoenix8395
      @flameofthephoenix8395 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@techteachersandstudents Yes, but is there a better way to use a scroll bar for its more common purpose? Actually, scrolling through information? I have an assignment, and ran out of room in a cell to fit text, even with word wrapping. I'd like to scroll through the text like traditional scroll bars, this way I can fit more information into the cell in a user-friendly way.

      @@Dannyboyjr naw, what i did find is that they do this on purpose for special reason. One those reasons is so people can purchase features somehow. I gave up on it.

    • @Dannyboyjr
      @Dannyboyjr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andresolavarrieta8303 broski I figured it out. What you can do is times the output number by .01 or .1. For example let's say you max out the slider bar and it gives you 30,000. Take that number and *.01 or .1

      It's possible that you could, with the VBA editor make just one scroll bar for all the cells. You simply tell which cell you need.
