You’ve got some serious length going on there, my guy! I hear you, working with longer hair can indeed be a whole different ball game. It sounds like you’ve been patient with your process though, and that’s half the battle won right there. When you’re working on your finger coils, maybe try doing them slightly damp to give you that ease in maneuvering through the length without it getting too tight. Hey Huda! 4c hair is already Afro hair 😃. So eventually you’ll have the Afro you’re look for. It’ll take a little bit of time & maintenance. You’ll start seeing your Afro take shape around your first couple of months into growing your hair (3-4 months MAYBE less). I’ve been growing my hair for over a yr. After December I believe I’ll hit that 2 yr mark. I hope that helps 🙏🏽
If you can only wrap the coil twice, it’s all good. Work with what you’ve got and make it look fly. It’s not about the number of wraps; it’s about the technique.
Ah, gotcha! You’re right, you can definitely use a comb for more defined coils. I prefer the finger method, but a comb can give you some solid results too!
