    I have the Puma Fast R V1. Amazing shoe especially for uphill runs. Very comfortable and STABLE.. The shark fin is a must ❤

    I have the Fast-R v1 and felt as though I was much more stable than any iteration of Alphaflys or Vaporflys I have run in. The wider forefoot area coupled with the heel end of the shoe seemed to force me into more of a proper foot strike once I neared the end of a recent half marathon race and was tired. My form (according to Garmin's running dynamics) didn't fall apart like it has in prior races at miles 12 and 13.

    As an owner of all versions of the Alphafly, they really nailed the airpod placement and midsole change for slower runners in V3. I struggled to get the most out of V1. V2 was much better, but the shoe was completely overbuilt and bulky for the sake of being bulky. The V3 is like they made the shoe specifically for me, and I can't wait for my spring marathon to see how much they help me over the V1 in May '23 (3:30), the V2 in Oct '23 (3:23), hoping for sub 3:15 in May '24 with the V3....but might be a bit more than I can chew. LOL

      3:15 is by no means a slower runner (that’s faster than like 97% of all finishers), but congrats and good luck!
      I found AF3 to be fast and certainly better than V2, but it wasn’t my favorite either. The pods for me felt harder to engage and as such the forefoot just felt kind of firm most of the time. Maybe just a foot strike thing for me.

    So basically Alphafly 3 > everything else. Got it

      Reminds me of the daily trainer comparisons from a couple of years ago, basically every conclusion was the Endorphin Speed was better. It might seem boring but if you truly believe it to be the best then I appreciate that consistent message, otherwise that opinion would lack integrity.

      Nike race shoes still the Best ! They talk about Durablity, Price Tag, but itsnt important for Race shoes actually …

      @SergiuSalcau00 did you actually test them? I went to a lab, and the AF1 felt fast but the Adidas tested more efficient.

    I think Adidas has something to say in all of this with the evo1 and hopefully the pro4

      A mix of bias and how a shoe feels has people forgetting that the Nike aren't always the fastest in the lab for individual athletes.

    Do you still get the energy return in the Puma at slow pace at the end of the long run..

      But he had overall concerns about the build quality and durability of the shoe, which doesn't have too much to do with shoe preference. I don't think you can just gloss over such a massive price hike compared to other carbon plated shoes, especially when you can clearly see the midsole on your version has degraded substantially.@@TheRunTesters

    • @TheRunTesters

      I'm not glossing over anything. The price is high obviously, but it's not like other carbon shoes are cheap. If you want to spend £230-250 instead of £285 then that make sense. I also think it makes sense to opt for what I consider the better shoe for more once already spending that much. I have run 110km or so in the Alphafly 3 and haven't noticed any problems with build quality, the performance of the midsole hasn't degraded at all, let alone 'substantially'. You can't clearly see that from the video, because it isn't true. If I had concerns about durability, I would have covered them, as I did with the Vaporfly 3.

    I think for the first time ever the puma shoe looks more like a Nike shoe. And the Nike shoe looks more like a puma shoe 👟🤣

    Alpha 3 perfectly combine the best idea with worst reliability, after multiple fail of nike's super shoes (alpha 2 air unit popped at 50km, vaporfly 2 came unglued at 20k, alpha 3 heel zoomx cracked at 40k), sad and fury😡😡😡! I'll let the brand holds up build quality take my money like puma, asics, saucony...! Great video🙌🙌🙌 and F nike 3000
