I've been binge watching all your videos and I must admit that your expertise in writing is certainly reflected in the way you speak. It's just excellent.

When I first started, I never edited much, but I've started to see how essential it is now.
This video confirmed I was doing the right thing. Thank you 🙂

I have to edit on paper as well. Sometimes I just think better with a paper and pencil in my hand rather than the distraction of a computer screen.

I enjoy editing as much as writing, so much so that I'm now working parttime as an editor.
Thank you... your courses helped me make that step.

Is it better to write more "complicated" or "simplier/direct " ?
Articulating a complex writing is considered in many languages more sophisticated. What about in English?
I think that in English a simplier writing is sometimes more engaging to the reader and also I find it harder to write a nice simpler sentence. But that's just based on my experience. Maby I am wrong.

You are right - in English, it is considered good style to write in a clear and direct way. However, this is culturally specific - many other cultures do not place the same importance on simplicity. Here's a blog post I wrote on this very topic: www.dorisandbertie.com/goodcopybadcopy/2016/10/07/culture-shapes-way-write/
