  • In this video, I give a detailed plant profile on Bloodroot. I also show you how to easily divide the rhizomes in order to propagate this plant for more free plants. Bloodroot is a native woodland shade plant and it makes a great understory plant under tees.

    They are such beautiful plants. I mark mine with a piece of green wire, pegged down, encircling the clump…because I know I’ll forget where they are by the end of the summer. Great video and very informative - thank you!

    hello Vita,is the blood roots deer resistant? as I have big deer pressure in my area (from Canada in in the Laurentians zone4b)

      Hi Louise. Bloodroot is indeed deer resistant, which makes it a great alternative to a plant such as hosta. 😊🌺
