Girl...the whole foyer set up is FIRE 🔥. I love it! I am so jealous of the whole wrapping the tree thing. If I had the room I would be doing that too. I wouldn't miss the fluffing the branches or decorating the tree.

Enjoying your commentary/ shopping adventures/& family! I once worked 8 yrs in a PPCD classroom as a teachers aide to keep same hours as my then young kiddos now I’m back to full time nursing. Anyway, my co-worker friend of mine experienced same as you with installing the banister garland over the years and since she had new refurbishment don’t on her staircase she experimented one year to display garland along bottom of the spindles by the actual steps and leaving the hand rail portion empty and free, and wow what a statement. I hope this helps you… 5 yrs ago my sweet little labbie girl was a puppy. She thought anything round was a ball and I envisioned Christmas being a disaster. That’s when I had my lightbulb moment. I got a very inexpensive 4 foot tree and put it on our buffet table (really any table will work). I consoled myself with the realization that we only needed this small tree for one Christmas. We still have it and since I try to make our living room look like a forest it is put up regularly although I use my large tree as the main tree. Not to mention that we have used it for each one of our dogs when they were puppies. We’ve added two more to our family for a total of three. Again, I hope this help. Merry Christmas.

Just keep an eye on Hersey , which I know you do, once she gets used to the decorations she won't mess with it. I survived many Christmases with cats and I never had an incident where any of them got hurt.
