10 years ago I kept travelling to South 24 parganas beyond Lakkhikantapur in WB every week due to work commitments. The area is quite close to Sundarbans so it was flooded daily with tidal waters coming from bay of bengal to the south. The road was little higher than the surrounding areas to avoid flooding. It had this unique feel of sundarbans with Swamp and some marshes here and there. On a cloudy day the surrounding felt surreal to me. I still cant forget the sights and scenes of the place. No traffic no hustle bustle just cycle-vans, cycles, rickshaws and some occasional cars and buses.
So, mangrove is a swamp. Amit Sengupta is self-luminous. He doesn’t seek subscription to the channel by the users. He is confident that the viewers who seek knowledge will gravitate to his channel. Confident and sure of what he is delivering to the viewers.👍
