Tony you need to buy Collin a CRF 50cc motor bike. For running back and forth in the field. Thats what I use on the farm to get around it small enough so I can lift it on the back of semi’s and trucks and tractors combines.
They use the grain cart to "unload on the go" so the combines don't stop because it takes time away from harvest if you stop the combine at the truck to unload
@@spike3082 you can unload directly on to semi's going or stopped, in theses conditions, the cart serves no point, other then another auger to damage peas
The cart has a scale on it. Then we can use that for knowing if we have a loss on crop insurance and provide all the weights per field to give to crop insurance. If it didn’t have a scale we wouldn’t use it on a year like this. The big auger doesn’t do much damage to the peas.
We used to stop and unload with the combine running slow and not use a cart. With the combines wide open and cart we don’t see any more splits at the elevator.
@@FastAgMontana we try and take peas off 3 points damper then dry, not always possible, especially this year, to avoid splitting and run augers slow as we can. Your insurance provider doesn't allow weights taken at elevator? Or are you responsible?

That header cut nice and fit the ground perfectly!!! It was awesome to watch!!
You guys have one of the best channels around the farm ing channel
Why thank you!
I agree.
Tony your one of my favorites for sure! Plus I really like farm hard, pray harder!!!
That was pretty cool watching that BIG header just flex to the ground and not leave skips. Great video.

They float across the top of the peas and it looks like there are more there than there really is. When they dry out they don’t weight much.
While visiting the Larsons Farm, did you enquire about their experience and ROI of the Crary Wind System on their combine? Just asking..🍁👍😎.
little 5hp mini-bike is super nice, just hang it on whatever you're driving with a couple straps.
Do you know if honeybee makes 55 or 60 foot heads?
Collin , you need a one wheel . Check-out Trent Palmer video. He uses them in the back country of Idaho when he Flys.
With my back, I'd fab up a little frame on the tractor and semi to hold a little dirt bike on.
just horrible seeing those grasshopper infestations! we had some here in manitoba, canada too. good luck with the season
I’d like to see that header in Idaho see if it can handle some heavy crops.

So what happens to all the grasshoppers in the harvested peas?
They dry out in the bins and are cleaned out when processed.
They are just extra protein
They are released back into the wild ?

Forgive me and my stupid question. Do you have to filter the grasshoppers before the grain goes in the bins, or before you take it to the elevator?
The elevator won’t take them if there is to many in there. Most of the time it looks worse than it is because they float on top of the grain.
Looks like a good crop of hoppers. Not fond of those bugs😩
Seems to me you should be able to improve protein content by blending in grasshoppers!
