Hey Jack! I love your videos! I can't get enough! I have been driving for nearly 25 years accident free until last november when I blacked out and rolled my truck on to it's side. It turns out I didn't know I had sleep apnea and it caused me to black out. I haven't been back to work yet, but watching your videos helps bring back good memories of what I miss the most. Truckin! Thanks for your videos! Be safe and God Bless!
My cat Shyann (female) looks just like Hershey the cat that trucker had on your commercial. ..................... Always nice trucking with you Jack. It was an ok video, and certainly better than none at all. It was particularly fun watching you crank down the landing gear, LoL but the oil spill was kind of a bummer for ya, however if that is the worst that ever happens consider yourself very lucky. I know you know this stuff, but I like to leave comments LOL
At Paris Junior College today for a baseball game . Next go see the Eiffel Tower on the south side of town . 9:30 into the program on the right side of 19 has the best homemade ice cream .
Hey Jack, it’s Kerrye again & I’ve spent some time @ our truck stops, and all I gotta say to the food, is they should keep Cesar salad in more places and allow the stores inside those stops to carry some actual produce instead of everything kept in cardboard & plastic.... those two packages will tell You to leave-it on the shelf Bro.
I always enjoy your videos , but one of the things that truly impress me is the clean environment. Here in Africa every thing is always broken , filthy or a total lack of it , when it comes to truck stops . Thank you again and be save
Thanks Jack, you are right about the food. You should do meals in your truck. Easy ones in a crockpot. Put it in in the morning and is ready to eat at 4:00 or 6:00. A lot of easy meals can be made and they are good for you. Be safe.
Hello Jack. Glad you mentioned the importance of knowing how to fill out a paper log book in case the eld goes haywire. I am a driving instructor at a truck driving school located in North Florida and we teach all our students how to use the paper log book. Really enjoy your videos. Kevin Lawrence
As always, good video. A good fall back from old school lesson Never trust electronics that can flaw. People should think old school anyway. It's called "COVER THY CASH". :)
At one point in the 1970's Paris had 4 full time truck stops. By the '80s, they were gone, and for about 10 years, there wasn't a truck stop at all. And getting to healthy food in Paris takes quite a bit of driving.
The worst thing about shell gas stations/truckstops is according to the energy department of the United States, $.80 of every dollar spent on fuel from a Shell gas station goes to the Arabs they are the highest I have not fueled or been inside a Shell gas station for 10+ years Valero is my personal favorite
The school I was in showed how to use paper logs everyday at the end of class it was good to learn for sure! I could see how there easy to manipulate if you wanted
You should invest in that fridge for the truck you mentioned recently and then you can prepare healthier meals of your own perhaps with the assistance of a hot plate to cook on as well.
Hi Jack it would be a good idea if driving schools made filling out logs as part of the test and unless you can fully understand them you should not get your licence
Yes it was really needed especially with Campbell's Soups right there. That's What Cat Scales are for, Em Em Good. Don't known if you are old enough to get that. :-)
In all my years of trucking Jack , I have seen some funny signs , at one pic up I inquired about. A wash room , on the top of the door it said MEN and under neath it said AND. TRUCKDRIVERS , I have been retired 9 years and still scratch my head ! Thought I would share that with you , have you seen any weird ones in your travels ? All the best Al .
Indiana Jack are you ever going to get back out on the road? You are by far the best youtube trucker in youtube history. We all miss following you on your journeys.
Jack, it's been my experience, as a former trainer/safety person, that non-scholastic driving schools are only interested in taking a person's money and making sure they can go around corners without bumping the curb, so that they pass a drivers test.----Scorpio
Mr.indina Jack you was in Paris Texas and didn't let me know THAT I would have bought you a cup of coffee well be safe out there on your travels from Paris Texas
There would have been plenty blowing a fuse and jumping up and down. Truth is, it makes no difference.. Great video as always Jack, looking forward to the next one.
Jack the solution for healthy food is not to buy that road trash food. U need to do some shopping at Wal-Mart, produce section and get some salad stuff and fruits and veggies and btw it's a whole lot cheaper. And plenty of parking.
Jack, have you ever been to a WaWa's? They aren't necessarily truck friendly but they have the greatest, most efficient food service for a convenience store I've ever seen. Lot's of healthy food and greasy stuff too. Check 'em out. I know they are in PA/NJ area, not sure about the rest of the USA.
I have made videos about WAWA and I go there all the time when I am home. Yes, they have good fresh food. QT is trying to copy them but does not do as good a job.
Part two has a lot more action. It is already on Patreon. Patreon, is a sight where you can see my videos 2 or three weeks earlier than on TH-cam for $2 a month.
What ? Did they stop doing the Mixed fruit & veggie cups? I used to live on those. Don't do OTR anymore, but buy a fridge & stock-up. Only pu 1x in Paris TX long ago. Spent 8hrs at Campbell Soup DC dealing with a overweight load going to IA. Not a great memory
They still have the fruit cups but I don't see the veggie cups as much anymore. I think they were having to much waist because not enough people bought them.
i hear truckers talk about how they dont miss paper logs and to hear about your friend . hey i loved paper logs cause i didnt always feel like shutting down so you could stretch the truth a little and not have a eye in the sky watching then reporting . the only real worry was ol eagle eye DOT who could do math and knew how to figure time and speed and boy you were in deep then not only did you get a log violation they gave you a speeding ticket as well and had the guts to say you told on yourself .hahahaha keep it safe jack may your truck pure and your wheels hum with each new day
Jack i suspect there is a lot of people leaving trucking school that cant fill out a paper log and i have seen several that should have never been allowed to drive a truck.I hate to be so critical of others but theres some young people that should never been allowed in a truck. All you have to do and iam sure you will agree ,is sit in a truck stop and watch how dangerous some of these people are. Theres more and more accidents happening in Truck stops than there ever has been where trucks are being hit while sitting still.Jack i just dont have much faith in most driving schools, never went to one myself, back in the sixtys when i learned to drive things were a lot easier.
Hi Jack, just wondering, so you are ownly allowed to do paper logs if your system is getting down, I guess, right? Then, how long are you allowed to do paper logs, for how long a period maximum? Or is this just temporarely for the time being that your electronic log system is down? Thanks for answering this question.
Yes, last December all trucks (with a few exceptions) are required to use electronic logs. Paper logs are just for a back up. I don't known how long you can use them as a back up. That would be a good question for Rick Gobble.
Did you drive through East bound on I-30 during your trip? I saw a red Volvo a few days ago as I was on an overpass crossing I-30. There are many red Volvos, I know. Any chance it was you though?
One possible solution to the food issue is for these truck stops to lease their restaurants to independent contractors. Maybe that way we could have healthier food choices or at the very least more of a variety of menu offerings or chances to get home style meals.
indianajacktrucker if these guys get hit with high blood pressure and or diabetes I bet they will find time to eat a healthy meal. If they can take time to proscrastinae in the fuel lanes they can take time to look after their health and well-being. No load is worth more than that.
Judging by the way new drivers operate their trucks I would say these schools don't give enough instruction on anything, (such as how to drive) not just paper logs.
Jack you old trucker, I enjoy your adventures very much. Might I suggest that you find a way to make your voice a little louder, then I can hear you when the cat walks by ! Your audio is always a bit quiet and I strain to hear you sometimes, where I have to turn other channels down.
I didn’t learn how to do paper logs in either. I graduated to fast to get to that point. I had to go. I needed a job and didn’t have time to stick around and hang out. If the truck was empty I was in it. The instructors thought I was a mole for the company because I was good at it I guess. They always said you can tell how bad I wanted this cdl. I got out of school and just couldn’t figure them out so I stop doing them and I was Otr pulling a hopper bottom. I was always over weight. What I learned was how to avoid scale houses.
get your daily,,SALAT with onions,garlic,tomates,chicken,...oliveoil,lemondip,,,and dressing you like...THIS KEEPS YOU STRONG AND HEALTHY>>>>AND A GOOD LAVAZZA ESPRESSO KEEPS YOU AWAKE>>>>
Nice new truck stop. Green areas too make it nice. Trees / grass area. Too bad there are not more healthy choices. The high calorie grease white flour sugar bad fats sugar pop drinks all will cause truckers to have heart problems diabetic problems cancer problems... Honestly a trucker in two of his three meals can just have boiled egg whites with 10 grain bread with becel marg. another meal with same bread & natural peanut butter / side of walnuts or cashews..two glasses of slim milk. Ya said the Campbell's Soup plant was nearby. We got the mushroom & tomato soup in our pantry. Tried to buy the green pea or yellow pea soup of the same brand but the store shelves are void of it. Maybe they stopped making it? In Canada even green relish seems to be going the way of the steam engine. In past everyone put mustard & green relish on their burger. Subway is healthy but I do no test their processed meats. Nitrates. Tuna has too much mercury. I just load my subway with lots of vegs. & lettuce & sauces from their squirt bottles. Cheese slices sometimes. ( though it has dairy fat ) had a heart stent put in 2.5 years ago so it is a wake up call.
Only draw back is natural peanut butter needs refridgeration after being openned. Adams brand really agrees with my system. Walnuts ya can buy in bag & I just put on a clip / with Spring to seal bag. Eat maybe 5-6 walnuts with the grain bread sandwich/ natural peanut butter. I get the light Becel marg. fridges / inverter is hard on battery but possibly just have one battery that's dedicated to inverter. Change battery every. 6 mos or before it goes bad. The big $$$ ya will save from making your own coffee/breakfast/lunch will give you big savings.
Plus bran flake dry cereal / slim milk /grain bread / natural p b also makes a quick & healthy breakfast. Non sweet/sugar bran flake cereal in cardboard box.
Sardines in can with oil. 1x week. In can maybe 4-6 sardines. Good on grain bread garlic. Easy to prepare & no clean up. Honey also good. Alittle on 10 grain bread with natural peanut butter. Also a banana orange apple every two days.
If pizza dough was whole grain ,low fat sauce skim mozzarella cheese vegs. & then it would be quite healthy. In the Vancouver BC Canada area we have Fresh Slice Pizza & they make a healthy pizza. Non heart attack version. Ever put a chuck of cheese in a cast iron fry pan & cook it. It liquidfizes into a greasy goo. That is what goes into our blood stream & clogs everything.

How can people dislike the godfather of youtube trucking vlogs...
I like your style Indiana Jack. You are an awesome filmmaker!
Thanks Jack, you are right about the food. You should do meals in your truck. Easy ones in a crockpot. Put it in in the morning and is ready to eat at 4:00 or 6:00. A lot of easy meals can be made and they are good for you. Be safe.

Thanks for taking the time to do these videos Jack, best wishes from a UK trucker :)

Wow, 4 truck stops in that little city.
Awesome video jack 👍 honestly your a greatest trucker and I love your videos
Jack, I'm jonesin' for a new video from you!

Great timing! Just what I needed.
Super jealous of the shots you get. Great camera work! Great video!
Buy a Samsung Galaxy and a GoPro and you will be good to go.
Thank you for your comment.

Randy Murphy maybe even a small slow cooker? aka crock-pot?
Hi Jack it would be a good idea if driving schools made filling out logs as part of the test and unless you can fully understand them you should not get your licence
That's a good idea.
You and old red keep trucking
Nice video, and its trucking life so hurry up and wait so we wait lol dont worry it is never boring.
That is true
I love Loves Travel stops .Stay safe out on the road Indana Jack.
That Love's saved me from getting an overweight ticket at the Oklahoma chicken house. I needed a CAT scale, before I got there. Go Trucker Path!
Yes it was really needed especially with Campbell's Soups right there. That's What Cat Scales are for, Em Em Good. Don't known if you are old enough to get that. :-)
Jack doesn't just trip in Texas he trips everywhere lol
In all my years of trucking Jack , I have seen some funny signs , at one pic up I inquired about. A wash room , on the top of the door
it said MEN and under neath it said AND. TRUCKDRIVERS , I have been retired 9 years and still scratch my head ! Thought I would share that with you , have you seen any weird ones in your travels ? All the best Al .
I see one on I-240 in Memphis that reads, "Speed Limit 45. Minimum Speed 45." Of course, everyone does 70...
Indiana Jack are you ever going to get back out on the road? You are by far the best youtube trucker in youtube history. We all miss following you on your journeys.
Very nice truck driving I like you and I like it truck driving
Jack, it's been my experience, as a former trainer/safety person, that non-scholastic driving schools are only interested in taking a person's money and making sure they can go around corners without bumping the curb, so that they pass a drivers test.----Scorpio
You are right.
Mr.indina Jack you was in Paris Texas and didn't let me know THAT I would have bought you a cup of coffee well be safe out there on your travels from Paris Texas
When I was there I remembered you had offered but I forgot your name to let you know I was there. I will be back.
Always enjoy your videos, drive Safe . Thanks Indiana Jack
There would have been plenty blowing a fuse and jumping up and down. Truth is, it makes no difference.. Great video as always Jack, looking forward to the next one.
We had to do a log for every day that we were in school--from the time we got up in the morning to the time we went home.
Yeaaaah it B's that way sometimes 😩
Jack the solution for healthy food is not to buy that road trash food. U need to do some shopping at Wal-Mart, produce section and get some salad stuff and fruits and veggies and btw it's a whole lot cheaper. And plenty of parking.
I have made MANY MANY videos about buys fresh vegetables and fresh food at Walmart and will continue. Thanks for the idea.
Just remember to skip the Romaine...:)
What camera system do you use? Is there a brand you can.recomend? Say for recording incidents when with people trying to commit insurance fraud.
How is that turbo holding up?
Jack, have you ever been to a WaWa's? They aren't necessarily truck friendly but they have the greatest, most efficient food service for a convenience store I've ever seen. Lot's of healthy food and greasy stuff too. Check 'em out. I know they are in PA/NJ area, not sure about the rest of the USA.

I see that a lot of times you were filming inside of businesses , do you just walk around with the camera and hand or do you have it concealed ?
In my trucking school we were supposed to learn paper logs in 1 hour
Nice to see your video again been said bit from the last one
I put one out every Friday or Saturday. Sorry you missed them.
Good Video.
Hopefully the Native Texans were good drivers and made things easier on you. Love your adventures :)
There isn't a lot to complain about in Texas.
where did you go from phoenix walmart
It appears to me that these truck stops need more diners and less fast food joints. Did you get the hole in the roof of your trailer repaired?
Yes, I got it fixed the same day but did not film it.
In a previous video you mentioned that you were looking to get your own trailer. Any updates on that or did you decide to just keep the rental?
Still working on it George. Believe it or not there is a shortage of good used dry vans right now. That is a sign of our economy.
i hear truckers talk about how they dont miss paper logs and to hear about your friend . hey i loved paper logs cause i didnt always feel like shutting down so you could stretch the truth a little and not have a eye in the sky watching then reporting . the only real worry was ol eagle eye DOT who could do math and knew how to figure time and speed and boy you were in deep then not only did you get a log violation they gave you a speeding ticket as well and had the guts to say you told on yourself .hahahaha keep it safe jack may your truck pure and your wheels hum with each new day
Qualcom went down on me, had to use paper logs. Most of my kin lives around the Athens area.
Good video. Thanks

It's definitely a concern.
Do any truck stops have chick fil a? It would be hard since they close sunday but I actually lost weight eating chicken and salads from there.
That would be a good place to get food at truck stops.
Hi Jack, just wondering, so you are ownly allowed to do paper logs if your system is getting down, I guess, right? Then, how long are you allowed to do paper logs, for how long a period maximum? What happened to the new trailer you bought or rented?
Still getting one.
I haven't seen a Godfathers Pizza in years. Is it any good?
They have them at several LOVES around the country. It is pretty good pizza but not as good as Flying J.
Did they lower the price just after you filled up?
Did you drive through East bound on I-30 during your trip? I saw a red Volvo a few days ago as I was on an overpass crossing I-30. There are many red Volvos, I know. Any chance it was you though?
It wasn't me this time
You be da man !!
MY HOMETOWN
Very nice Motion Pictures....thx
Your traveloko video is down .
I'd like to see how a load board works if ever. I just take what I'm given. John in Québec
I made a video about load boards. I will try to find it. It was about 6 months ago.
One possible solution to the food issue is for these truck stops to lease their restaurants to independent contractors. Maybe that way we could have healthier food choices or at the very least more of a variety of menu offerings or chances to get home style meals.
The problem is time. We no longer have time to eat in them except for in the evenings and most guys are so tired they go straight to bed.
indianajacktrucker if these guys get hit with high blood pressure and or diabetes I bet they will find time to eat a healthy meal. If they can take time to proscrastinae in the fuel lanes they can take time to look after their health and well-being. No load is worth more than that.
Hey I’ve got some trucking questions for you... what would be a good way to send them to you?
Facebook messenger is the best but you can send a PM here also.
I used to drive for Stevens Transport
Oh no! 😁
Sir have u traveled to vermilion city 🌃 in Alberta ever?
I have been all over Canada but I don't recall that city. Do you live there?
indianajacktrucker no sir I don’t live There but I’m gonig to immigrate for my study there I want know the area is rural
What are truck requirements
Jack, ever been to a Bucee's?
Yes but they don't allow trucks there. Do you fuel there?
Chesters haha the molester Geez🍕. Damn, that's a huge Truck Stop..
Judging by the way new drivers operate their trucks I would say these schools don't give enough instruction on anything, (such as how to drive) not just paper logs.
did you get yourself a drone Jack
I have had a drone for a little over a year. Don't use it much but might start to fly it more.
Ty
Your friend could use Keep Truckin when his Qualcomm goes down. Takes the misery out of it
Yes I agree but he can't change the giant carrier he works for.
Jack you old trucker, I enjoy your adventures very much. Might I suggest that you find a way to make your voice a little louder, then I can hear you when the cat walks by ! Your audio is always a bit quiet and I strain to hear you sometimes, where I have to turn other channels down.
I apologize, two of the shots in this video I did not have my mic on correctly.
The truck in school I went to had one day for paper logs
get your daily,,SALAT with onions,garlic,tomates,chicken,...oliveoil,lemondip,,,and dressing you like...THIS KEEPS YOU STRONG AND HEALTHY>>>>AND A GOOD LAVAZZA ESPRESSO KEEPS YOU AWAKE>>>>
The driving schools that are 2or3 weeks all they do is help you get your CDL and leave the training to the company They go drive for.
I went through a three-week school and that was the first thing they taught us.
IndianaJack is better reality TV than the Kardashians!
Nice new truck stop. Green areas too make it nice. Trees / grass area. Too bad there are not more healthy choices. Easy to prepare & no clean up.
Honey also good. Alittle on 10 grain bread with natural peanut butter.
Also a banana orange apple every two days.
I laughed out loud at 10:20 don't miss it guys
???
maybe it's 10:22 where nobody heard of him,.the load, nothing ha ha ha
??? I must have missed it
Truck stops need a "meat and 3" Those are getting harder and harder to find.
They have pizza!!! What else do you need? Lol
James Benninger they got many varieties of Hot Dogs as well, lol.
If pizza dough was whole grain ,low fat sauce skim mozzarella cheese vegs. & then it would be quite healthy. In the Vancouver BC Canada area we have Fresh Slice Pizza & they make a healthy pizza.
