yes sure! but over a longer distance, let´s say maybe 30-60 min. it´s very hard to paddle the Minicat alone with one person. With that idea you can get back also over several miles distance.
it´s not easy to row the cat with one person, because it is 2m wide...a good way is to sit in front (at the front end of one hul), and to lift the rudder out of the water in the back. Then you can paddle on both sides of the hull like a kayak!
@@minicatmaran make sense - I would probably have dragged the rudder to keep it more directional.. but I don't have one yet sooo you re the expert. *I do have a toqueedo from my boat, so might just install the motor bracket.for added flexibility - it can give me maybe 6miles if going slow.. opening up tend to drain it pretty quickly. Post some 360 vr videos from all your sailing - they can be watched with quest vr headset.
@@minicatmaran BTW.. thank you for explaining the paddling - I would not have thought about straddling one hull on the front, but that makes perfect sense. with the keels it have some direction - have you tried the gondolier style with one oar to the aft ?
@@Sailing360 no not tried the gondolier. Paddling in front works really well. As motor the torqueedo is good, we use the new ePropulsion eLite 500W, very good for small boats !
Or you could just bring a paddle🤷♂️

The Minicat is difficult to paddle.
No sculling?
probably just rowing might have been as fast or faster?

@@minicatmaran the ePropulsion eLite 500W, looks ideal - thank you.
Wow, I've seen it all
Naja, da würde ich doch direkt vom cat aus paddeln. Ruder festlegen und ab die Post. Für was noch einen Paddeltcat davor.
Where can buy it!
Paddles, carrying them as last resort
Ridiculous, no PFD.
Of course!! Pull a cat from a cat..... Why didn't I think of that!.... To be fair I really want one 😂😂 too expensive for me though 😭
