  • Trainspotting - Clapham Junction (Britain's Busiest Railway Station)
A short film about Clapham Junction, the major railway station and transport hub in South West London just 2 miles 57 chains from London Victoria and 3 miles 74 chains measured from London Waterloo.
Located on the South Western (Portsmouth) and South Central (Brighton) main lines as well as the numerous other local routes and branch lines that pass through or diverge from the main lines.
Despite its name, Clapham Junction is not located in Clapham. Clapham is a district of Battersea situated approximately 1 mile to the south-east of the station.
Routes from London's south and south-west termini, Victoria and Waterloo funnel through the station, making it the busiest in Europe by number of trains using it. Each day between 100 and 180 trains per hour pass through the station, except for the five hours after midnight.
The station is also the busiest UK station for interchanges between services.
Trainspotting remains copyright Oval Films/Discovery Networks 2004
