I just watched the Bill DeMott Shoot interview and his description of how Johnny Ace is the EXACT same as Jim's when it came to the developmental system. They BOTH say that Johnny's go to line was "We're a publicly traded company!", when OVW and Deep South weren't.
Moving Starrcade out of Greensboro sucks. I also was not a fan the year they took it out of Nashville in favor of Baltimore. Mostly because I am local to Nashville and was planning to attend in 1997. Arguably the biggest wrestling match ever. I was a huge mark for Sting vs Hogan.
"Aint been better for the buisness" Disagree right now have multiple promotions. Back in the day you were getting screwed over by promoters. And on top of that no competition for the territories. Basically commy crap agreeing not to compete and they were lazy. When vince competed they rolled over on their bellies. Territories were awful. Guys today are better off without it. Got paid literal peanuts while today getting paid millions or 100000s. How many stories have we heard from so many wrestlers getting paid crap in the territories? So no it's fine currently and way things are their is more then enough room for more companies to pay more guys.
