TICTeC 2024: Civic tech's role in enabling effective & democratic change to tackle climate change

  • A panel discussion to discuss the opportunities and challenges that civic technology presents, when it comes to democratic climate action.
    Panellists were:
    - Genevieve Maitland Hudson (Social Investment Business / mySociety Board - MODERATOR)
    - Maddy Carroll (Director, UK Programme, European Climate Foundation)
    - Dr. Michal Nachmany (Founder and CEO, Climate Policy Radar)
    - Aleks Berditchevskaia (Principal Researcher, Nesta Centre for Collective Intelligence Design.)
    This was part of mySociety's The Impacts of Civic Technology Conference (TICTeC) on 13 June 2024 in London, and online.
    TICTeC 2024 bought together 180+ people from 35 different countries.
    It was the seventh in an annual series of conferences from mySociety, focusing on what is needed to make civic tech on a global scale more successful and impactful, to tackle global problems around democracy and climate change.
