The gardai really do not want to go down the route of the UK police who are roundly hated even more by the law abiding public than they are by the criminals: as a result they can barely function and nobody helps them.

My late mother- in - law was a Gleason from Tip and was a fantastic lady and my late father in law was a Murphy from Hospital in Limerick.
