On paper my ICF walls are R-22 but with my passive design they will outperform conventional walls

    It is smart to immortalize yourself in these youtube videos so that your great-great-great grand children can see who built the home they live in. They probably will be watching the videos on their 3D holographic projection devices.

    Not sure what your daily temperature swing is, but where I am it's on average about 25-30 degrees (we're high desert). This large temp swing 'charges and discharges' the ICF thermal battery is a very productive way. It's such a great system under these conditions.

      Excellent point! I too live in a high mountain desert and those swings will be super hepful especially in the summer so that my walls don’t get too warm. I do have that massive heat sink of 52 f because I am so far below grade. It would be great if someone did the research of the impact of it.

    I'm a little surprised the r-value is only 21. Most rigid foam these days is r-6 or more.
