This is definitely a senior nco, he's been a drill sergeant, and a Instructor. Got the best mindset to teach the people who are going to walk the path he walked. Hooah
Also, please do your TA 50 inventories with your Soldiers. Don't be afraid to get the DA 362 signed by your Joes for missing stuff. It doesn't get processed for 30 days and it's the best way to get all of their stuff back on post where it belongs.
"Train them" This doesnt mean just when theres training scheduled. My squad leader had the team leaders and specialists conduct hip pocket training when i was a joe. When i went to iraq as a PFC 1 year in in 06 i had absolute confidence in my skills and the skills of my fellow joes and my leaders bc we spent so much time training. Id rather go over something useful for the 300th time this month than i would sit around doing nothing all morning wasting my time. My team leader taught everything and by the time we got back i got promoted to E4 then I got my own team when we started having MCOs going to bncoc and PCSong and stuff (and since we just got back we werent getting the NCOs we needed they kept sending us new privates lol)
tell them to go to finance to conduct a pay inquiry / bring in your STP so they can see the DOR they will let you know what papers you need to get it fixed
If your 1SG doesn’t send up your soldier’s paperwork for his pay issues, he should ALSO have pay issues (for neglect) but at least in the army, yeah that’s not how that works
What should you do when you have a leader that you reach out when you’re freaking out because you got robbed in another state and he replied “ that’s not my issue?”
Preach it SFC. Had some NCO's that never stopped teaching and some that didn't teach me anything.
Hell, this isn't just for NCOs, this is for any leader, whether it be your boss or your SSG

A Drill and Instructor, appreciate you 💪🏼💪🏼
Idk NCOs seem like they have to be Superman 24/7
That's their job 👍
NCOs are the backbone of the military. They have to be
You’re correct. 😊
Going to the promo board soon. I appreciate the help!
How was it?
Precisely! Couldn’t have said it better myself! It’s okay to be empathetic. A little empathy goes a long way with your troops.
Mine never did. “Just go do it, don’t bother me till it’s done” 😢
Sorry

as an nco your joes are your children so teach them and keep track of em
I love that. I have seen that some NCOs will not even want to sit down with their soldiers.
need more of this not the ole classic E-7 work ethic criticism
yeah my NCO failed me they done none of the 5 you put out that make great NCO
Heres an NCO tip: Drop your warrant packet and come fly helis at rucker.
💪🏼
Sounds like a person thats meant to be an individual and not a leader. Drive on Chief.
Spot on BROTHER!!!
Roger drill sergeant!
I really like this advice but man it's hard when the guys don't want to give all the energy back in any way most of the time.
Could you discuss a leaders book? i've looked through your videos and don't see anything but i could be mistaken. Thank you for your help SFC.
This dude seems super cool
Hoorah, Sergeant!
I'll keep this with me thank you

What percentage of NCO’s do you think are doing this?
My roommate is a PFC and he’s getting E-1 pay,he told his SGT but he didn’t help him

@@darkdonovan thanks I’ll tell em
*As long as you aren’t teaching them the wrong ways to do things
Are you related to a Jefferey French? He was my TMC onboard my boat
No no brothers, only sisters

This new generation of Soldiers are not impressed by what has been done. What is their NCO currently doing?
Xin loi toi khong he nghe duoc tieng anh pha tieng trung quoc kho nghe cua anh
My question is what if the whole army is having pay issues? Mainly the enlisted folks lol
Then you are having pay issues. NCOs are enlisted too
What should you do when you have a leader that you reach out when you’re freaking out because you got robbed in another state and he replied “ that’s not my issue?”
let the PSG know
@@darkdonovan what if it was the PSG who did that ?
If your PSG said anything like that, you open door policy the 1SG immediately. Period.
