Agreed, it seems like it should be a fundamental course at the academy. That said ... this was ONE traffic stop nearly two years ago. How many did he do that day, and since then? I'm amazed he can remember any specific details, and he probably didn't take exhaustive notes at the time. Also, isn't there a risk that an officer who is highly trained in court presentation will seem less "genuine" in their responses? Just playing devil's advocate

Anyway, he's basically found a way to recuse like every judge in the 8th district, so they had to find someone from outside the district. When they did that, they brought in a guy that was formerly on the Supreme Court of nevada. During the final hearing with that judge, he basically said that the 8th District Las Vegas family court system is fucking notorious at the appeals and supreme court level for how many crazy cases come out of it.

Having had an international license you need a current valid driving licence from your home country to get one.

No. Usually, jeopardy only attaches once a jury starts to hear a case, and even then a mistrial doesn't prevent retrial.
