Tanglewood put on some great show back then. Chicago played there around the same time and put on an EPIC performance. I'm the Man, Beginnings and my favorite, 25 or 6 to 4, which has one of the greatest guitar solos ever.

Shrive broke a stick at the beginning of Jingo and never missed a beat, now that’s talent!

His first album was released in 1969 and his most recent album was released in 2019. Not too many artists can lay claim to a 50 year catalogue full of amazing music.

Carlos is the musical director of the whole band, as well as the lead. The band is Heavily influenced by south american and african bands. Carlos is playing in front of the amplifiers to play off his feedback. Amazing Amazing. Life Changing Music. The Best. The Absolute Best.

Wow!!!!!! My 1st time listening to this and it's AMAZING!!! THANK YOU for this amazing group, being Mexican not many react to Carlos santana, at least from when I was in college or no one knew who he was back in the early 2000s

This was, in my opinion, the best line up Santana ever had. Carlos Santana, guitar, vocals; Gregg Rolie, vocals, keyboards; Jose "Chepito" Areas, timbales, congas; Mike Carabello, timbales, congas; Michael Shrieve, drums; David Brown, bass (RIP David Brown). Every member of the band was a star in his own right.

They had some quiet time in the late 80's / early 90's - they used to come Tucson, Arizona every year. They'd play at the fairgrounds & back then it was just dirt. They would have "Santana at Sunset" & it was $5 bucks to get in. We'd dance in the dirt & dust, sweaty & dusty. They would play just as hard as they did here. It was pretty cool.

Wow! He was born in Amecca Mexico near where my parents were from. I was born in Tijuana Mexico. He lived about a block from where I was born. My oldest brother went to school with his older sister. This mix of African and Latino sound is amazing. Never was before and it will be difficult to replicate. Yeah, a lot of salsa and cumbias, but this is amazing. As a kid, this was kind of hard to listen to because of it's intensity but I grew to love it.

Carlos Santana is up there in my TOP Five: Hendrix, Clapton, Santana, Jimmy Page, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. They played that guitar effortlessly like a Second Nature.

How time flies. Thanks for doing this. 😎👍 Can’t believe it’s been almost a year since this reaction. I have enjoyed all your reactions on the channel. 😎🔥🎵 This Santana jam is epic. When I was a kid, my dad used to play this and I would dance to it with my sister. We would just go crazy. Amazing musicianship here.
Jingo is from their debut album, Santana by Santana. It was written by a Nigerian percussionist, Babatunde Olatunji, from the debut album, Drums of Passion, 1959. Jingo-lo-ba means “Do not worry” in the Yoruba language. Every time I see this performance, it still gives me chills, sends my spirit soaring. Peace ✌️. Stay blessed and safe.-Patricia 😎🎵✌️🙌🔥
