I agree. Like you can not like itzy only for their girl crush concept. Fans should also embrace their bubbly and fun side. “All in us” isn’t just a catchphrase. It’s their whole identity as a group. If you see them deliver multiple things in one song, that is itzy right there😊

i think itzy has finally found their sound again... this is so itzy.... a mixture of mitm, not shy, dalla dalla if you wish. one of their best title tracks if you ask me.

Let me just tell you this groups gets so much heat every time they come back they even delayed their come back this come back as fire and they totally deserve all of the praise. I can’t believe people wanting psychic lover for the title track and not cake thank god

I think that's the beauty of Itzy and their music. They don't hold themselves to specific sound. Psychic Lover has more of a early Twice/Gen 2/3 sound to it (Bubblier), so i can see why people that favor that sound want that. I've seen people suggesting Bratty (Hip Hop sound) and Kill Shot (80's - Think A-ha- Take on Me), both songs with different vibes and sound. If you listen to Itzy's It'z Me album, majority of the tracks sounded the same whereas Kill My Doubt offers a lot more diversity. I think because of this, it helps and hurts Itzy. Not pigeon holding themselves to a sound hurts (casual fans know Itzy as Pre-Sneaker sound and Mitzy getting mad at each other because they lean towards a certain sound) but artistically, they've grown so much (Ryujin singing more, Chaeryeong getting more parts, Lia improving on dancing and getting rap lines - all of which fans were wanting). But as a Mitzy, i'm just incredibly proud of these girls because their music/albums has been getting better and better.

@@truthknow5502 i personally feel like if they did kill shot as their title track ppl would call it an aespa knockoff. Psychic Lover is great too, but its very much a bside (Maybe its just me, but it sounds like a Disney bop, in the same way Lesserafims No Celestial does), i cant see a music video for it. Despite how much i dislike jype, i think they did a great job with the selection of songs, Bet On me really is such a raw song and deserved the spotlight and None of My business is a great promotional bside. Cake is soo fun and very much a good combination of Itzy's best titles, like i think vocally its better than some of their previous titles too! The chorus is so catchy and that prechorus is heavenly, Yeji slayed on that truly. And even though Yuna get much, all her parts are immediately trending. Its the perfect title track. Haters can hate i guess

I wonder if what you said about this song feeling like a mix of some of their other songs was represented in the concept. Like mixing the bowl, they’re mixing the ingredients of their past hits and it’s a piece of cake. If that’s the case it feels to me like the message is that these hit pop songs and intricate choreo are easy for Itzy, but there are layers to Itzy. Cuz let’s be real they have some AMAZING b-sides which don’t get any love. They put so much work into everything they do but they’re not going to stress about haters anymore, they’re gonna keep doing their Itzy thing and I’m 100% here for it! Midzy for life 🖤🩷💛💟💜
The instruments, sounds, beat, melody of this song is so freaking good. The chorus is so catchy, I've been singing cake for few days now. Plus, Cake is so inspiring and very meaningful song (VERY ITZY CODED, girlies always make sure that their songs are so freaking meaningful, empowering, and inspiring).

the chorus is very nostalgic and i can say that we really miss a bright itzy chorus title track that hit while having the verses or hook slap. if there is dance break after or before the bridge, it will only make the song complex or even better, but they did not put one because it is already in the right amount.
First time I bought an Itzy album, never got into their music before unfortunately (Cheshire was fun though), but these last three songs and MVs sold me.
'Bet on me' is still my favourite so far.
How is kill shot, bratty and psychic lover? I love all their tracks in this album!! It’s like a satisfying listen for me with all of the different genres and they sonically sound very great to vibe with!
I love this reaction! Also the choreography is meticulous and witty in incorporating cake in the choreo. The intro where they’re tutting is like they’re forming a cake and the fingers are the candles and then in the last pose is like them blowing the candle on top of Yuna’s head😅

This is a perfect, fun, summer Itzy song.
This song really reminds me of their debut, because it’s like the perfect combination of sweet, cool, and empowering, just like Dalla Dalla was. I also think the song, but more so the music video, has really similar vibes to Loco.
the way they do the little jump rope move at 3:01, with everyone just watching Yuna before jumpin in, is one of the cutest moves Ive ever seen, its killing me that they only do it once

That is their TITLE TRACK Signature. it does not appear in any form on Bsides. What they formed was the Cake with Candles which has some choreo that matches in Cake.
