Yes, in a weird way, I am glad Day lost his sight, because it helped him to find Mhok and Mhok to find him, and that makes it worth 1-2 years in the dark, because the light at the end of the tunnel was worth it--for both Day and Mhok.
@@onnacarr6938Well technically he had been blind for a year already before he met Mhok, together they spent almost a year as well and then they were three years apart before reuniting and Day successfully getting the surgery... so I guess in total he was blind for around five years of his life But I'm very happy they found each other this way

My comment, to clarify, was to agree with @katenorman6137 that sometimes, difficult things are worth it if they lead to "home," though the journey may be a long one for both parties. I think most would agree that even if Day had remained blind and even if it had taken more than a year to meet Mhok, even if it took more than 2 years to realize they cared about one another, and more than 3 years of separation from one another to get back together, Mhok was worth the time and the difficulties. This is a bit confusing. I thought Day recovered his sight 3 years After reconciling with Mhok. That is, Day was blind for 1 yr, was tog with Mhok for 1 yr, separated for 3 yrs, reconciled with Mhok and had successful cornea transplant 3 yrs later. So he was blind for 8 yrs. @@snshn143
