It depends, from which college you belong. How much aware about technology trends and how much you prepared for skills (develpment, testing, whatever....), ds-algo + cp. Yes there are plenty of opportunities for BCA/MCA, B.Sc/M.Sc and B.Tech (Circuit branches) also. I have seen lots of people from those degrees doing well. It is all about hustle + luck to get a good job.

Yes BTech is a far more professionally valued course than BCA, primarily because it delves into a lot more subjects than BCA but what’s staggering is that merely 2.5% of engineers in India possess skills in artificial intelligence while only a handful of engineers (5.5%) are qualified with basic programming and a recent employability report has found that over 80 percent of engineers in India are unemployable as they lack the technological skills required by employers now..
There’s a shift from degrees to skills that you possess so the playing field is going to get more levelled in the future
It won’t be BTech or BCA or a BTech graduate from tier 1 vs tier 3 but the one with more skills as the implantation of technology in business gontiniues to increase
As of now If you are targeting a good paying 9-5 job then definitely B.Tech will be a better option for you. Also on accounts of subjects taught and the design of the two courses, B.Tech is more inclined towards students from the science stream and have an interest towards engineering sciences.
Engineering degree helps, but your own interest, enthusiasm and willingness to learn is much more important. It is all about the dedication, knowledge and the hard work which we put in to make it more worth. Career options when guided more by interest tend to work well for us rather than try to fit in the salary packages or pressure from society or parents.
But, B.C.A+MCA also worth it right!?

My uncle is software developer he has it own it company and his income is great and he has only done diploma in software engineering and he have 13 years of experience

More than preference ,if you do BTech from a good college you will have way more on-campus placement chances, especially in non software roles(like consulting/data analyst/business analyst kind of roles), as these are almost impossible to find off campus for freshers. Talking about SDE roles, yes its possible to get them off-campus but its 10X harder to convert a SDE role off-campus than its at on-campus.

Getting an offcampus placement in an MNC is way harder than oncampus
But if you aim for startups, offcampus is much easier as compared to an MNC

Indian it companies still prefer degrees over skill they topics you find in bsc cs are similar to btech colleges and some bsc colleges also offer you electronics and mathematics with bsc cs which is a masterpiece combination , some of my friends got placed in tcs, Accenture, Capgemini without having depth knowledge in coding because of these mass recruiters , companies should give equal opportunity to everyone as per their requirements , and should prefer skills than degree

btech Universities and Crores of student participate in this field and the job opportunities are less than 10 percent and out of those 7 percent are those students which belong in higher universities and rest of 3% are in private universities student in that time😭

Where to learn coding while doing mechanical engineering?
BTech is Worth it if You are doing it from a top College .If You are not getting a top College , then don't take Education loan. Instead go For BSc/BCA , and Spare your time in mastering the Skills which will get you a high Paying Job. Anyways , For Companies Skills matters more than degrees.

@@SayanNath-vh7id i take you're fresher so why first two year is if you gained enough knowledge and experience in the field in good colleges intership start from 3year for big companies and if you are good at let say coding your chance to get internship will be easy and once you get internship in good company in 3 year your chance of getting placed in final are too high you can even get good preplacement offer and mostly in final year no one study for college all for placement and very classes and if you have good job you have complete whole year to enjoy to the fullest even more than who enjoyed in first two year. After all in the end you are there for good job and enjoy.

Really, doesn't matter. I myself am a final year B Tech CSE student with specialization in Cloud computing by IBM. But telling you from experience, it doesn't matter at all. You'll end up paying extra fee. That's it.

The selection ratio of UPSC is just 0.1%
It means that there is a 99.9% that you will fail and will never be able to Crack upsc
So you must have a backup and don't go for a useless course like BA
