I’d agree on Iron Man. I read it last night and it set up a lot of stuff coming down the line. I still need to read Absolute Wonder Woman, but I’m guessing Iron Man may be my number 2 book this week. That all said, I’ve been after a pure Tony focused run for a while so the bar is low.
You made an interesting point. If there are too many people with the same powers, it takes away from the uniqueness of a character like Superman or Spider-Man. I wonder if there is a way they can find a balance between too many and just enough.

I agree with you in regard to Super Lois and there being too many versions of certain superheroes. It's part of the reason I dropped Hulk a while ago when everybody from Rick Jones to General Thunderbolt became a version of the Hulk. But I will make the exception with Green Lantern, haha
I really liked Nightwing, intrigued me, really like that it’s going for a darker tone and making Bludhaven the crime town it is. Detective Comics was a huge surprise to me. I loved the kind of retcon and thought it fit in perfectly with the present day story. I also liked seeing Bruce take the kid dying really hard. Hope Taylor can keep it up. Absolute Wonder Woman was awesome. Loved the art. I just hope we can get more flashbacks to see what Hell was like and how it affected her. Seemed like being in Hell was just having Circe raise her. So I hope we get more context about that. Present day story was cool, but fast. Excited to see where it goes.
I also do not like the art in "Iron Man". The previous artist was much better, for my tastes. I like Roxxon and AIM, but this story seems really dry. And why does Tony look like a POW survivor? I mean, it's ridiculous how emaciated he appears. Thank you so much for the review. You've saved me money, because based on this review, I'm passing on this iteration of my favorite Marvel character as well. This is not the direction I was hoping to see this book go in. Love that Dan Mora art on "Superman". I may pick that up when I see it on discount. Joshua seems to do a decent job writing the character and his supporting cast.

Didn’t get the chance to read anything on my pull list, but my girlfriend decided pick out her first comic book ever. Powerpuff Girls the Halloween edition. We read it together. We both laughed and enjoyed the artwork. She now supports my hobby. lol
I read Nightwing #119. I liked the art and some aspects of the story are good but much like the Gotham War story this also has the angle of “cops are villains, villains/criminals are victims, Nightwing is holier than thou” it’s an odd conceit that they keep going back to and it almost makes Nightwing an unlikeable character. We can’t let the cops go after these criminals they are just car thieves and purse snatchers, we must use all our resources to protect them. Even though the entire opening of the issue establishes how sinister these different factions are. Odd choice
Really want the new Dan Mora and Mikel Janin art, but $5 for 20 page comic… I’ll wait for the trades. I’m resisting the inflation… $4 comic for $5. I’m skipping all the All In titles that are $5 for the moment.
Man there was way too many good indie books this week for me to even get a marvel or dc book. Was very curious about Iron Man as he’s one of my fav superheroes but had a large stack in my hand already so had to pass 😂 Sounds like I didn’t miss too much hope it ends up being good though who knows I might end up jumping on board.

I did not care for Absolute Wonder Woman. If she was gonna be raised by Circe in hell, there was nothing hell-acious in this issue. The art was very off putting for me.
Iron man was a disappointment. Read it after absolute Wonder Woman and wow! what a flop. Saying "Woke" and "Iron Lib" throughout the first issue was an eye roll. I want a cool badass Tony Stark doing cool badass things not political gibberish

I’m on board for Chris Condon Green Arrow his indie stuff is great. He’s the kind of writer we want when we say big 2 needs new writers on board.
