I had the same issue. Instead of dilating the cat delete pipe I removed the muffler and grinded off the spot welded clamp (which is junk anyway). I reinstalled and used a 4 inch SS band clamp which has 2 bolts. It conformed over the pipes and is much stronger than OEM. Since I'm debating on installing the GRP titanium exhaust I can still use my GRP cat delete pipe...
You don't need to replace it, but it allows you to manually control the valve instead of having the ECU control it depending on which mode the car is in. Plus, you can force it to be 100% open all the time no matter the mode. The stock setup will never open the valve 100% even in track mode.
@@IgorFradlis I heard it's as easy as holding down the button on the mirror you want to program while holding down the button on the valve controller. I have other gates and garage door openers already programmed into my car, so I will continue to use the remote.
Sounds good! Thanks for making this.
Awesome instructions.. Thank you.. will be doing mine as soon as I hit first 1000 miles (with oil change).
@@IgorFradlis Happy to help! I plan on uploading an oil change video tomorrow. Hopefully, you will find that useful as well.
@@ForumFoundryI am planning to install a magnetic plug as well.. so you know if it already comes with it from the factory?
@@IgorFradlis It doesn’t. I purchased and used a magnetic plug as well. I will have that info in the video.

That's another way to do it! I'm glad to hear that it worked well. I'm hoping my GRP titanium exhaust arrives soon.
Why do you need to replace the valve control? Does the oem controller not work with the aftermarket?

@@ForumFoundry did you figure out how to program home link buttons to open/close the exhaust valave?
