@@daisydanyart same, i find buildings a bit challenginh. I remember you painted a few buildings already in some of the Ghibli screencap redraws; you really rose to meet the challenge.

I started a new sketchbook yesterday too! Getting and starting it was actually inspired by you! I used to just paint single sheets of watercolor paper but always got frustrated with all the cluttered mess afterwards. And coincidently my sketchbook looks a lot like yours but brown lol first painting in it was watercolor but I hope to paint some gouache in it too 😊

It can be from different factors. Using too much water or too little, it has to have a creamy consistency but not be watery; the kind of brush, since some are harder than others and leave more marks and the type of paper, more absorbent papers leave less streakiness.
