I run my pics as a screen saver on the tv....love it when some random pic turns up and reminds me of a crazy adventure we had, yourve got some absolute gems..thanks crew!!
Awesome series! Loved it! Would really like to see an episode on a rundown on how you managed the trip logistically? Maybe show a map with where you went? How with so many people you managed food and water? Lessons learned? Things you’ll know for next time?
Hey mate! In my earlier series I put up maps and a lot of locals of the area got upset with it so I’ve stopped doing it. But definitely need to do more about food water and how to for the videos in the future
I’m going to do this trip next June. Wyndham to Derby. Just myself, the wife and daughter. Have been planning this for the last four years. Loved your series. Any chance of seeing a map of where you travelled?
Stumbled across the channel for this trip series, amazing footage and editing with great storytelling. The only problem is how are you going to top this for the channel! Target is to do a similar trip in the future up there. Loved the series.
Thank you for watching mate! This was definitely one of them trips when filming and editing it just all fell together so nicely. I’ve got a series coming soon that you’ll enjoy haha
Thank you for watching! Makes me motivated to film more of these adventures for people who don’t have the opportunities I do and get a glimpse of these remote parts of our country.
In the mid-late 80's I lived on Koolan as a kid - was awesome. We were at the mine when they did (what was then) the last blast and the Island closed. The original town and houses we lived in were all taken down, but the original airstrip to the NE remained. We would fly to Derby for school and swimming galas on an Islander and sometime the younger pilots would free-fall off the cliff edge down to the water. I spent many days at Croc Creek and there used to be a 3 legged goanna that would steal food off the BBQ. Back then the Horizontal Falls was called The Gap and we spent quite a bit of time there. There used to be an old boy on Cockatoo, called Salty, that had a yacht and we spent a summer on his boat going around the archipelago - he also had a pet salty he'd walk around on a leash. Thanks for the nostalgia and a quality trip down memory lane.
Wow mate, thanks incredible. Such a special part of Australia. I’m sure you have many wild stories. I’ll be back here again I’ve become addicted to the Kimberley. Glad it brought back some nostalgia, always a good feeling
Hey mate. Amazing adventure, thanks for sharing. Watched them all and other videos too. Why did you guys launch in Broome and not in Derby to go to the Kimberley? I'm planning my adventure and just curious to know. Would very much appreciate your response. Cheers, looking forward to your next adventure.
Hey mate! Yes this was something I do not recommend, definitely launch from derby. When we got to Broome we thought we could launch from cygnet bay and that was the plan but then found out you have to booked into a camp site there to launch, which that camp ground is always booked out. We then did the math on us with 3 cars driving to derby or just launching at Broome. And in the end the cost was about the same to launch from Broome, we had the weather on our side with glassouts. I hope that made sense haha
Great little series, reminds me of Malcolm Douglas and the places he went. This is nice to watch after all the "ass n tits" saltwater garbage REMOTE LIVING CATCH n COOK thumbnails of other groups. Nice work
@@cohenmacdonald1824 are you talking in general, or this channel, we didn't step on to a boat without one, and it is the same today, you come on my boat, you wear one, it is safety , will save your life regardless of your ability to swim
I've watched your entire series like 5 times, its wonderful to see family and friends having so much fun, thank you

I betcha the fish don't cop the skinny filter on Insta.
get a big spanish bruh
Gr8 vid, awsome fishing but leaving your boat to walk on, and damage the reef, is really bad form. Thumbs down for that, totally unnecessary, y'all.
Shut up
One thing i have an issue with, being ex RAN, is your inability to wear a life jacket of any description
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone wear a life jacket while fishing😂

@@cohenmacdonald1824 and you wonder why so many drown after falling over, each to their own i suppose
