THERE SHOULD BE CLEARLY LAID DOWN CANCELLATION POLICY WITH DIFFERENT DEDUCTION SLABS DEPENDING UPON TIMERAME. AND GUESSING FROM WHAT THE REPRESENTATIVE OF PRABHAT HOTEL SAID REGARDING "PARTIAL BOOKING AMOUNT, FULL BOOKING AMOUNT AND NOT REFUNDING BUT ALLOWING THE GUEST TO ADJUST THE TRAVEL DATE WITHIN A TIMEFRAME", ITS SAFE TO ASSUMING THAT THESE BULL SHIT HOTELS DONT HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY AND WHATEVER CANCELLATION "FAVOUR" THEY EXTEND, IS BASED ON THE WHIMS AND FANCIES OF THE HOTEL AUTHORITIES...!!! WHEREAS BRANDED BUT AFFORDABLE HOTELS LIKE LEMON TREE ETC, THEY HAVE CLEAR CUT POLICIES AND THEY DO REFUND BOOKING MONEY, IF CERTAIN CRITERIA ARE SATISFIED. I WONDER, WHY WOULD YOU PROMOTE SUCH CRAP HOTELS!!!??? AND DONT TELL ME YOU DONT HAVE ANY INTEREST IN THIS...!!! STRUCTURED AND CLEAR CANCELLATION POLICY OF LEMON TREE: 9. CANCELLATION a. Your booking confirmation will include the hotel’s cancellation policy. b. Cancellation policies may vary from hotel to hotel and usually refer how much notice you need to give to cancel your reservation without incurring a cancellation charge. c. The cancellation notice is 48 hours before arrival i.e. You have to inform us of any cancellation 48 hours before the arrival date. If the cancellation is made after this time, the hotel will charge your credit card for the entire cost of the reservation. d. The Hotel will provide a cancellation number to a Client in the event of the Client making a cancellation and that number must be used in any future dealings with the Hotel. e. Where a Pre-Pay or Non-Refundable reservation has been made, the hotel will retain 100% of the original reservation charge, if cancelled.
