  • The 1976 Hammer Horror film, To the Devil...A Daughter, is based on the Dennis Wheatley novel of 1958.
Following films like Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, a similar theme of cults and satanic possessions is a focus of the film as Richard Wydmark discovers an occult, led by Christopher Lee, hoping to sacrifice a young girl to the Devil.
Though not a hugely successful film, it features a fabulous performance from Christopher Lee as the fallen Catholic priest.
The finale of the film is filmed in the Dashwood Mauaoleum, a former iron age fort location in Wycombe that houses the ashes of the Dashwood family, and sits above the notorious Hellfire Caves.
