Octopath Traveler 2 dropped last week and I knew I would want to cover one of the boss themes from it based on how amazing the first games OST is. While I loved the OST of the first game I couldn't quite get into the gameplay so I haven't picked this one up yet but I was super hyped to hear the soundtrack and from what I've heard so far its lived up to the expectations set by the first games OST! I was hoping to get this cover up last week but I had an extremely busy week with uni work so wasn't able to but hopefully there's still some hype for this OST!
With my covers over the past year or so I've been using MIDI backing to help fill out my sound but with this one I tried to mainly use lots of different guitar parts to fill out the sound more inspired by the way that FamilyJules does it. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out so I'll definitely do this more for future covers as well as using my orchestral sample libraries when necessary.
