  • Our Spring Break 2021 adventure continues! Nobody would ever call us “adrenaline junkies,” but the thought of zip lining through the trees of DeSoto State Park was just too exciting to ignore! Take a look as we risk life and limb (well, not really…), and then take you on a little walkabout tour of the campground before wrapping up our week and heading home.

It was a hoot! If we ever run across a longer, more elaborate course, we'd sure try it again!

Wow! Zip-lining! Yes, I remember the line in the back yard over the creek. Those were fun times! So glad y'all had a good Spring Break!

Darn shame there aren’t any photos of that contraption in our family “archives.” I can’t seem to describe it to people in a way that really does it justice.

It was so much fun! We sure wish we could've handled more than just one camera while we were "wired up." Thanks for watching!

You've sold me on this park! The ziplining looks fun, but the campground alone seems like it'd be worth the trip. Thanks for all the info!

I moved this video. It was fun seeing you both zip lining. That looked kind of fine to do. The park looked lovely. Looked clean.
The bathrooms looked clean. I wound have done the same thing if it was going to rain I would go back in the Rv and chill and read or something. Do sone relaxing.
Thank you both this video. Sorry you aren’t going to put out a video for a while. I will see you when you out the next one out. Have a great time and stay safe. See you soon!

We do have a video coming out in a couple weeks (something we kinda had in our "back pocket" for just such an occasion), but we've got some personal stuff going on and probably won't get back out camping 'til mid-June at the earliest.

This park looks awesome. I think I would have opted for your dad's rough and ready course. It sounds like the stuff we did as a kid....and survived. Nice job. PS. When is Jessie recording her next Smokey approved meal? By Smokey approved, I mean anything Jessie puts in front of you to eat. Lol.

We definitely had a blast that whole week! Jess hasn't mentioned having any ideas for a new cooking show recently. I think she's been too hyped up about her graduation ceremony (NEXT SATURDAY!) to think about much else lately.

Hey, thanks for watching our video! By all means, you oughtta try it! The course there at DeSoto SP seemed like a great spot for beginners. We hope to find a more... oh, how should we put it?... "elaborate" course someday!

I really appreciate the 2 videos about DeSoto! It gives me a good idea of what to expect in October. Thanks, guys! How much was the ziplining?

Always glad to serve as your "scout!" You've certainly done it for us a time or two! It was 49 bucks a head to do the Zipline course, and it lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. I hear tell that the Lake Guntersville (AL) course they have is even longer and higher! 😯
