  • Medical aspirants across the nation have started protests against the irregularities in the NEET UG 2024 results. These students are demanding a re-test alleging issues such as many candidates securing higher than usual marks, grace marks and a larger number of candidates getting the top rank. Over 1,500 candidates from six centres have been given 'grace marks' without any clarification, students claimed. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court have sought answers from the NTA, the National Testing Agency, which conducts the test. Republic confronted a senior NTA official who revealed that wrong question papers were distributed at centres.

There was no wrong question in NEET Physics exam. The question is given below.
Q-25: Given below are two statements:
Statement 1: Atoms are electrically neutral as they contain equal number of positive and negative charges.
Statement II: Atoms of each element are stable and emit their characteristic spectrum.
In the light of the above statements, choose the most appropriate answer from the options given below:
    (1) Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect.
    (2) Statement I is incorrect but Statement II is correct.
    (3) Both Statement I and Statement II are correct.
    (4) Both Statement I and Statement II are incorrect.
This is a correct question and it has only one answer which is number (1): Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect.
The students who do not know C-14 is unstable (radioactive) or all atoms with the atomic number from 93 to 118 are not stable, should not be eligible to get an MBBS degree.
The paper setter is not supposed to read old NCERT, new NCERT or any other book. This is a very basic question to answer. No students should get grace marks for this correctly written question.
I asked one of my relatives this question who just got 98.4% in CBSC 10th grade exam and after hearing the question, she answered it within a second.

NTA at fault. Government cant conduct exams. Agencies are formed to perform this duty.
Now SC gave order, now Government will follow up
