This song always reminds that one of the (many) things that makes Ren so great is his ability to know exactly when to be complex, keep it simple, or even use silence to get his message across. He isn’t flexing his guitar skills in this, just playing exactly what is needed with that beautiful guitar tone. And my favourite line in this is so simple, totally devoid of all the clever metaphors that he is so good at using, but it hits soooo hard: “I’m scared of being okay cause all things change”. I think anyone who has been through any struggles can relate to that feeling of not trusting that anything good will last. You can’t just enjoy it because you’re busy worrying about how long it will last and the feeling that will come when it’s gone. And then good days just make the darkness feel so much worse because you remember the light that’s gone… Ren is so special. He keeps being so relatable that it reminds us that we’re not alone. And we will always make room for more RENegades down the Ren rabbit hole cause we all need his light in the darkness 🐰🕳️
I 100% get the feeling you are talking about, the anxiety of “not knowing” when things are going to be worst so we be ready for the hard times but that make us not enjoy the good times, like he said in “Hi-Ren” “the more rigid I became the harder it got…I learned to relax” and that right there is the answer, trying to live without being so concerned about stuff we can’t control and accept hard times and enjoy the good ones, it sounds so simple but the constant intrusive thoughts keep pestering alongside with panic and anxiety, thank you so much for your comment, I really appreciate it ❤️
You did an awesome job. I am supposed to also take pills but i am terrified of feeling "normal" (anxiety and panic attacks) and then something happens where i can't get them and then my old way of dealing wouldn't be effective anymore.(meditation and just staying away from people) Also, i hate when people tell me they can hang with me now that i am calmer, in the back of my mind i am thinking so you don't like me, its the medicated me you like. My weird thoughts but thanks for also sharing yours.
I completely understand my friend, it’s really good to follow up in doctors and psychologists, but in the end, you hold the decisions, its like Ren said, it’s an eternal dance, we have to be students. One day at a time, one step at a time, you don’t need to be doing stuff that you don’t feel comfortable, also, people are mean, they say stuff like that, like sometimes we can control what happens inside of us, you are probably an wonderful person that has some struggles which is completely normal, but it’s up to ourselves to find out path, pushing ourself and also not being to hard on ourselves, it’s not easy, not all days will be 100%, some maybe be 40% others 64% and so on, the important things is to push forward my friend, find some decent people to be around, talk to a psychologist, I’ve been doing for the past 3 years and helps a lot ❤️
