+Cycling Maven Thought it looked too easy to slip up on the inside without anyone else taking the tight line around the bend, still great vid, I am trying to get my head around sprinting in the 53 X 11 (I was more a 53 x 14 or 13), however that was a pretty fast lead out and your cadence stayed around 100 and you finished quickest so who am i to judge.

What are the benefits with training in different zones and how shall we analyze the data we collect? I am sure you can explain it in a very easy and understandable way. Cheers!
Nice race....thanks for the walk through of the finish....BTW....I would have put the arms in the air also....but did miss a drone shot of the finish. Know you cant win and drone at the same time. Congrats Mark.
Great race win and vid Mark - really enjoy the race analysis. In my opinion you maybe could have accelerated into the slipstream of the final guy you passed to get an even bigger 'jump'. I feel you maybe delayed 1-2 secs too long on injecting your final kick for the line? You're way more experienced at crits than me though so I may be totally wrong here. Always pick up something from these vids so thanks.

mark i think ure depriving yourself from quite a few watts with that 100 cad while sprinting. try something like 110 120, you can gain a lot more power if u train those sprint cadances...
Solid video! Do you travel to races fairly light? I noticed lots of riders had sling shot bags with them instead of backpacks. On my side of the globe many riders bring the kitchen sink with them, what do you bring? Great recovery meal there.

Mark I also got my foakleys last week or so (you inspired me to buy). I find them pretty bad in the dark. How did you like them on a day like in this race. Evening, sun is going down. not much light? the mate I was riding with got the genuine oakleys on and I tried them and they are so much better at dark conditions. need to buy the original ones!
+Cycling Maven yeah I know I didn't expect much so its not a big deal. yeah but like in your situation it was sunny and then it turns dark. If its sunny I dont want to use clear lenses :)
There is so many knock off's, you might of got the knock-off of the knock-offs. I've been very careful in what seller I would buy from. The many sunglasses (foakleys) I got are all fine and work great.
Question: I see that you often place your camera in some distance from where you are, for example when shooting drive by scenes or when you shoot you and H eating in a cafe from the outside. +Rob Petrie Hi they race in Crits for 55 minutes plus 2 laps. B-Grade is probably Cat 2 but the level in Melbourne is quite high and particularly at the club. I've done B-Grade races here and it felt like A-Grade.

Great video Mark! At 43 and just started getting back into cycling the past year seeing to 76 year old smashing miles was great!

Was the race on a fast track? you said there was wind but you were at 40km/h minimum and 250 avg.
And before you know it, they will come up with an additional rule: two hands on handlebar at all time or you will be either fined or DQed!
