Billy will always be my all time favourite singer, I consider myself very lucky that I saw him play live 3 times. I wish he was still around today, he is deeply missed and an irreplaceable talent.
I went to see this concert. It is the first concert for me to hold. Style Council and Culture Club were also appearing. I was 15 years old. Although it was raining, it is very good recollections.
I can't even count how many times I've watched this video over and over. I highly prefer this live version over the studio version. 2:15 - 2:33 and 3:50 to the end are my favorite parts.
the thing i love about this clip is how people are actually enjoying the experience instead of holding up a mobile device and spending more time on capturing the moment..we, the 80's generation were one of the last ,to enjoy events as they occurred..there was no need to tweet to Timbuktu that your were "going through the tunnel and my coverage is going to drop out"..BTW Billy is astoundingly brilliant in this rain soaked, cool gig
I saw Billy M live at Glasgow Green in early 90s. Vocally electrifying. But this performance I have watched and love this version. He was a genius with words. Bill you are irreplacable.
I just mentioned this concert in Japan to folks in a livestream on Prog Rock Dock. I hope they check this out...it's remarkable. RIP Billy. Long live the musical offerings of The Associates!

:( Thanks for the links but I got No response as yet.Would love to know if more of this footage existed so it can be shown at the tribute night to mark 10 years of Billys death :(
Well,I've tried, even the tv station doesn't want to know(I have e-mailed them a couple of times but yet to recive an answer,I know,I type in English and they are in Japan but surely the tv company can afford a translation program
Still trying to track down more from this show,if any one can help please e-mail, we know it was from an "Brit" show and it caught the tail end of a storm but what we need to know is if any more footage exists :) Any help would be appreciated and acnowleged in the "Billy" world :) Thanks Will

Indeed! I never had the pleasure of seeing him live. But oh boy, what a talent!

I do dare say this is superior to the studio version. Very undervalued band.
The best artists exist in their own world. MacKenzie was amazing.
I always track this video down, great performance in the rain. 1985.... seems so long ago!

He was a very smart chap (Billy),it's so sad he's no longer with us.
He had an incredible voice too.
This is simply a stunning song and this version is enormously atmospheric. As others have said, more or it would be very much appreciated.
Simply jaw dropping
Always my favourite singer!
Nice performance and great bass line.
Pretty sure it's my old mate from Sutherland, Roberto Soave on bass.
I just mentioned this concert in Japan to folks in a livestream on Prog Rock Dock. I hope they check this out...it's remarkable. RIP Billy. Long live the musical offerings of The Associates!

I love what Klaus Nomi did,Nomis song is one of my fave electr songs, but Nomi was Classicaly trained, but still not a patch on Billy!!
What song are you referring to ? I tried to find but no luck
What I don't understand is that Rankine left because McKenzie didn't want to tour, but after Rankine left he did tour after all. Very strange!
Still trying to track down more from this show,if any one can help please e-mail, we know it was from an "Brit" show and it caught the tail end of a storm but what we need to know is if any more footage exists :)
